two knights, one day

Image
well a while back a person i knew gave me 2 pewter miniatures and said these were his D&D figures he used when he played or something like that. i took a look at them and figured one has to be a good guy and the other is a evil warrior. god-fearing Templar versus a sadistic knight who practices dark magic.   so i held on to them for quite a bit until i decided to paint them. so i glued some 32mm MDF bases on them and flock them with sand.   but i was curious on what make/model they were. after a few inquiries on a Facebook group i am part of good friends were able to inform me that i had Reaper Miniatures pewter figures. not really putting much thought into a color scheme, i just went with whatever paint pots i had near.  "....for the Light!..."  "..all power demands sacrifice and pain.."

Operation Take and Hold - FFoL: Galactic Heroes

after the FFoL: GH game with the 40k miniatures i recently done, i swapped out some terrain and brought in my Star Wars miniatures and created a take and hold scenario with a cache of weapons and ammo in the middle of the table. layout of the table. Separatists on one side and Galactic Republic on the opposite. the game objective: the cache of weapons and ammo the heroes of the Republic needs to take and capture as much as they can and carry it to their carrier.  team of clone trooper specialists take point over looking the objective creating a point for support fire. a wookie warrior, Chuuhn makes way to the first cask of weapons but is shaken up and wounded.  clone trooper with a flamer flanks around a rock to begin planning on melting some tin cans... the fallen Jedi leads her group around the rough terrain. ..and ambushes a clone trooper. battle droids take and hold the position of the cache. such a horrible outcome for

after playing a Star Wars game with a friend, i couldn't help myself and be amazed how simple but awesome looking his terrain looked. so after a few questions i took a trip to my local Wal-Mart and Dollar Store and picked up a few things.  for nearly under $20 maybe minus a few bucks, i got 2 medium and 3 small electrical fuse boxes, pack of plastic mesh canvas, and a nice size can of dark tone of blue spray paint. when i was collecting the ships for the X-Wing Miniature game, for some reason i kept all the little punched out dots and such from the card templates. and since i now have a lot of ships i also kept the excess of, combat tokens such as evade, stress, and shield tokens. also handy, i managed to find some Gorilla glue caps in a box with discarded material, and in the box i found some of the caps that were from the Frebreze plug-ins.  took 2 electric boxes and somehow i had some small pvc tubes from work, i glued to connect them together
