Paint What You Got challenge 2025/26

once again the Paint What You Got challenge has been thrown out and since i had fun doing it last year i figured i would join up and do it again. Dave over at Wargames Terrain Workshop has issued the next challenge once again . the challenge runs from December 26th, 2025 to February 26, 2026 and basically you paint whatever you have. and since i always have stuff to paint i use the challenge to paint specific miniatures that i have been dragging my feet on for some time now. last year i used this challenge to get the majority of my western figures completed, because i was just anxious to get them on to the table-top and play with them. and by the time i joined the challenge the area i live in was getting hit by horrible cold weather and just couldn't get outside to spray anything. so basically i was coming down to the wire and getting what i wanted done for the challenge completed. this time around for the PWYG challenge I figured I would up the ante and get two major projects don...

was going through some unpainted Wizkids D&D miniatures and realized i had gotten a pack of kenku characters and totally forgot. one was a melee and the other is a spellcaster. so me being me i wrote up a character that i wanted to run with for some time now... a death domain cleric. one of the reasons why i really love Dungeons and Dragons is that i can create characters i want to see. and who doesn't love a walking raven with an ability to raise the dead. now i did not realized until i wrote the character sheet that the kenku does not have a spoken language so when role-playing, i have to make cackle and bird like sounds to communicate with others. (LOL 😂) Rook strolls through a graveyard looking and curious who will answer his call.. few of the recent dead comes to life as zombies. getting the hell out of Dodge! - FFoL: Reloaded

Rita and i managed to squeeze in a game of Fistful of Lead late one night this past week, nothing special just a fun game thrown together. it was more a spur of a moment decision being it was like two in the morning when we played. Rita used the group i have been using for Perilous Tales and i pulled out my bandits, so might as well do a bank robbery scenario. the bandits needed to escape the far table edge with their loot. each bandit has a gold token with them, if they are killed the token is left on the table. i rushed my bandits up through the middle as quickly as i could.   for the most part both teams were equipped with the same weapons. one shotgun, one rifle, one model has duel pistols and rest with single pistols. Rita moved her models up cautiously and as both of us we were rolling like crap. either missing to-hit rolls or to-wound rolls it wasn't looking good for the both of us. at this moment of the game Rita was able to take out one of my bandits. as i was standing my ...
