since my last vacation i got some painting done and mainly the odds and ends of
whatever i had laying around.
most of this is for an upcoming game of Perilous Tales.


several headstones i painted up for mainly for Perilous Tales but can be used for
almost anything.
not sure where i got these but i think i got them from the last gaming convention.


a few giant scorpions from Mantic Games


some wolves from Next Level Miniatures.


my little demonic black goat.
not sure if i am pleased with how he came out.
i wanted him to be black but not just the entire figure black,
i tried to do shading on it but it just came out like one shade.
when i went to photograph it the blue spots on it are from the television shining on to it.


some werewolves.
one on the left is from Wizkids and the other one is Mantic Games.
not to thrilled about these i might just go and buy a plastic sprue of werewolves
from Wargames Atlantic.

a duodrone,
prepainted from Wizkids, gave it a painted base.

operation MotU: miscellaneous characters

 recently i've taken a break from all things related to the hobby. sometime ago i had several MotU miniatures painted but not based and finished, but i managed to get those and several more completed before i went on vacation last week. during my hobby break i came across an interesting facebook page and website, Battle Ram Blog.com , where it dives into the background stories of the Masters of the Universe toy production and published books throughout the world. which i find fascinating one story could be different or slightly changed from one country to another. i did have the Great Rebellion faction next to be painted but with my hobby hiatus, i did some miscellaneous characters and even some odd ball characters that either came from fairly recent toy lines or just cool concept ideas/artwork.  when i started collecting pulp figures and such few years ago, one of the stories i wanted to tell through tabletop wargaming were the tales of H.P. Lovecraft and the cosmic horrors he created. so after much sitting on the idea of actually getting a figure i came across a shop on Etsy.com that had several Lovecraftian creatures. so i placed an order with TranscendentalPrints. and within eight days i had in my hands on of the best 3-d printed figures i have ever seen. click here to check out TranscendentalPrints page on Etsy.com. when i was in the process of ordering this figure i did sort of messed up on the size and i went with a 75mm tall. after i got the figure and took a good look at it i should have gone with a 100mm. it would have made him look more dominate on the tabletop.   according to the shop Etsy page the figure is made out of resin, but from past experiences with resin i had to wash the model with hot water and soap, but with this i literally took it from the s...

the Undead..

finally coming to the end of this epic project for a good friend, the undead plastic from Mantic Games was really fun to do. i actually want to get a box or two for myself. these were painted with about 50/50 Apple Barrel acrylics and Citadel paints. ghouls zombies lonely skeleton in his grave and his pet created monster, from North Star Military Figures. skeleton infantry.
