a whole bunch of nothingness
i spent all of the month of June not doing anything.
i hardly painted anything maybe a few D&D miniatures but nothing excited to post about.
despite a few D&D sessions, i didn't do any gaming of any type.
about a month or so ago i was given a new work schedule and now have been working
morning/daytime shifts and when i come home i don't want to move.
so any aspirations of wargaming were non-existent in the last 30+ days.
but during this "time off" from the hobby i did do some reading and watching videos on
Youtube of other tabletop games and such.
was reading some MotU comics online and got some inspiration to create another faction for
my Masters of the Universe collection.
i looked around and did some reading and got myself a few sets of the MotU Battleground board game
from Archon Studio to build me a Preternia heroic faction.

with some reading and looking around the internet i mapped out what i want to do.
with what i have on hand at the moment the Preternia faction will have:
King Grayskull, Veena, He-Ro, Eldor, Moss Man, Zodac,
Beast Lord, King Ceratin, Lord Neptul, the Goddess.
i do have a list of characters i would love to make in the future but i would truly love to get a
28mm version of a Granamyr and Battle Lion.
and to accompany the Snake Men's Tyrantisaurus Rex,
there is also the Turbodactyl and Bionatops i cannot wait to paint.

some of these figures the way you have to assemble them almost felt like i was putting together
Games Workshop minis.
on the other hand i also have a few new D&D characters i made for myself.
still creating D&D version of my old characters from World of Warcraft.

on the left is my shockadin and on the right a dwarf "shaman".
i remember playing a specially made character for player vs. player mode called a shockadin
which was a paladin who excelled at spell casting rather than melee.
and mainly the one spell you used was called Shock which dealt damage to the target and also
healed you for a percentage of the spell damage, i think. it's been such a long time.
but it was such a fun character to play so i resurrected the idea for D&D.
i looked online if such a character idea is possible for D&D and got suggestions for a
paladin/sorcerer so this will be interesting.
for my dwarf shaman i basically copied the character progression i made for the
minotaur "Roshakuna" and just changed the racial traits and a few feats to give it a
dwarven feel.
ever since i saw a certain artwork for the Magic:the Gathering card, Colossus Hammer,
i wanted to make that.

so i took the opportunity and gave my dwarf a two-handed maul with a large
hammer head on it.
which i find so funny, if i could i would try to make it bigger. haha!
hopefully i can get all this done in a reasonable amount of time,
there is the Season of Scenery hobby challenge and of course Historicon '26 convention
later in July.
