showdown in the town square...

 was messing around the other day and took out the rpg maps from Arcknight
and started to plot out ideas and story for my D&D group i am going to run in a few weeks.
with a huge tavern and several houses of a town i have a few ideas on how
i want to start everything off.



i do have plans to expand the town and such by ordering some more town maps.
Arcknight has a few packs to where you can really blow up it up and cover a huge table.



good friend gave me few MDF wagons from 4Ground.
still have to paint them,


a special character i named Valkia,
a warlock with very bad intentions.


this little one is a Gnome Druid.
i love the variety of classes and race combinations.
  never would of seen a gnome druid while playing World of Warcraft as long as i did.


a Firbolg Ranger


a gang of rogues and assassins,
who offers services to the highest bidder.

operation MotU: wave 2

  continuing with the Masters of the Universe figures from CMON with wave two. wave two consists of Man-E-Faces, Ram Man, Evil-Lyn, Faker, Trap Jaw, Tri-Klops, Panthor. for a change of pace i ended up painting a few hover robots since i have a decent amount of them and they were not part of the original toy-line. Heroic Warriors Man-E-Faces is a member of the Heroic Warriors, notable by his distinctive appearance, with his large, blue metal head on which his faces appear in its screen-like opening. His ability is to change his face from his regular human face to that of a robot and a monster. Ram Man is a member of the Heroic Warriors, characterized by his bulky, spring-legged appearance and flat-topped metal helmet. Recovering Artifacts

 today is my girlfriend's birthday. and so i thought it would be nice to host a game to where she and her boys would team up and play as a recovering team that landed on a deserted ship to find artifacts. four teams of three would scour the ship for these items. each item recovered is worth victory points, but the main victory is to survive and escape the ship with the artifacts. i used a modified version of Fistful of Lead for a rule set. with all the excitement and having too much fun and didn't think of taking a lot of pics. but with what pics that were taken, they were taken by Rita, i think she does a better job at it than me. the recovering teams arrive on a elevator. i wanted to have these teams to find the artifacts but have some kind of a resistance. i used the game mechanic of blip markers from the Space Hulk game. i did this because of the shock factor it produces when revealed how many aliens are incoming and the faces of Rita's boys' faces is priceless. operation MotU: wave 1

 so begins a great adventure.... when i bought the CMON Masters of the Universe board game i knew what i was getting myself into. but over time i didn't realize what kind of pile of shame i would have. so i thought instead of being overwhelmed with what i should paint first, i thought i'll paint what the original toy-line was back in the '80's starting with wave 1. wave 1 consists of He-Man, Man-at-Arms, Teela, Stratos, Battle Cat, Skeletor, Mer-Man, Beast Man, and Zodac.  i painted them like the original cartoon or close enough to it. Heroic Warriors He-Man is the alter ego of Prince Adam and also the twin brother of She-Ra. He-Man and his friends defend Eternia, the secrets of Castle Grayskull, and the entire universe from the evil forces of his archenemy Skeletor. Man-At-Arms is the primary title of Duncan.
