the Count's Trans-Serbian Renegades

 had these for some time now but never got around to doing a post on them.
these are the Count Casamir's Trans-Serbian Renegades from
Bob Murch/Pulp Figures.

i will admit post WW1 and pre-WW2 russia era i am not too sure on history,
so i am not totally sure why these fellows are renegades but whatever
they seem like a nice group characters to run a pulp game with.

the religious character is a figure from i think Artizan Designs.


Igor, the Count's faithful bodyguard and comrade,
and the Countess Angelina Oksana Kasamir.
(the Countess didn't have anything in her right hand so i carefully clipped it off and
replaced it with a spare hand w/ handgun from Pulp Alley weapon pack i was grateful
to get a hold of.)

i kind of want to get some WW1 russian command figures so not so infantry miniatures
but i guess figures where they are all different and such.

    Very nice work! I used these figures in my very first playthrough of Perilous Tales, as well as my first solo FFoL game of the pandemic. Tons of character to them.

      they were fun to paint. I really tried to keep those stripes on the one fellow's shirt nice and straight. just need some generic henchmen and a cool getaway vehicle.

some more random figures for D&D

recently while in the middle of painting my Masters of the Universe figures i took a trip to a local gaming store that has a decent assortment of Wizkids and Reaper miniatures but also available are 3d printed figures done by one of the associates that works there. while not looking for anything in particular i came across several nice figures that i bought just for humor and actually using one as a D&D character. a very bushy tailed fox like animal that i painted as a small fiery elemental creature. tried my best blending the reds, oranges, and yellows with a tip of white. muscle bound and raging!!! i found this dwarf or could be a very upset little helper that's just pissed off at Santa Claus. i saw this figure and i had to get it.  i saw this figure and i knew i had to get him. me personally i am not a cat person but once i saw this i had an idea of a D&D character. a tabaxi wizard of the school of necromancy, named Sindarus, the Shadowpaw.   last weekend i ordered figur

beginning of a boomtown

 been wanting to do a wild west table for a few years now and now i'm finally getting around to do it. i ordered several buildings on Amazon from Atomic Laser Cut Designs. i reckon over time i'll get more to create a small town that will cover at least 4x4 gaming space. i was excited to share my first building i completed this evening which is a saloon. hopefully by the end of the month i'll have the rest done and a battle report or two posted. a show down outside a saloon. easy assembly even without instructions. first set of buildings i had built. i didn't know what color or how to go about painting a wild west building. so i figured my first building should be at least an easy one. i watered down some Apple Barrel acrylic paint, added some black to the and did the doorway and window frames.   same thing for the billboard, watered down some green and black for the lettering.  " you cheated me, you son of a bitch! "

Recovering Artifacts

 today is my girlfriend's birthday. and so i thought it would be nice to host a game to where she and her boys would team up and play as a recovering team that landed on a deserted ship to find artifacts. four teams of three would scour the ship for these items. each item recovered is worth victory points, but the main victory is to survive and escape the ship with the artifacts. i used a modified version of Fistful of Lead for a rule set. with all the excitement and having too much fun and didn't think of taking a lot of pics. but with what pics that were taken, they were taken by Rita, i think she does a better job at it than me. the recovering teams arrive on a elevator. i wanted to have these teams to find the artifacts but have some kind of a resistance. i used the game mechanic of blip markers from the Space Hulk game. i did this because of the shock factor it produces when revealed how many aliens are incoming and the faces of Rita's boys' faces is priceless.
