the ghast: perilous (western) tales

  a few days ago I got another game of Perilous Tales in this past weekend and this time the main villain was the ghast, which is under the same name in the rulebook. the back story for this game is the group has heard rumors of certain treasures in an old abandoned settlement that was a scene of complete horror.  this episode has reoccurring spawns of spirits once you kill them and that is a pain in the butt when you are trying to clear a way to the objectives. the objectives are: Stop the Ritual, Recover Equipment, and Set the Explosives. the perils in the game are: Disaster Strikes, Driven Back, and The Horde. which all were randomly generated. Mr. Dennis gets a surprise while searching for artifacts in the abandoned settlement. finding the mysterious idol that is planted beside a building, few of the group begins heading towards it. 3mm to 1.5mm

 for some time now i have been debating on swapping out the 3mm MDF bases for thin 1.5mm plastic bases since i am starting to collect quite a bit of figures that can be used between my fantasy and pulp collections.   and since i have been playing with my fantasy stuff a lot more because of Dungeons and Dragons i decided to begin the process of changing the bases. i figured i would start with my mummies since they might make an appearance in my upcoming campaign next year.   the world is not big enough for two "gods." Pharaoh Khem-hotep II and his wife Shukura.   the royal high priest, Nefer-amen.   Merka-neshu, the general of the army of the Pharaoh Khem-hotep II.  i was gonna get duplicates and just put them on the 1.5 bases but do a different color scheme but i was really happy how these came out, so i just had to redo them.   after some time i actually couldn't find my rat swarms. but once i started converting the bases over, i found them in figure ...

miscellaneous fantasy characters

lately i have been gearing up some more figures for either a wild west game or D&D. painting ones i already have, buying new ones for future games/ideas, or coming across some that i totally forgot i had. all miniatures are from Wizkids unless noted in their captions. gargoyles from Next Level Miniatures. black base and gray/white dry brush. i wanted to keep the whole stone-skin look but didn't want to over do it. a halfling ranger. i have to admit the miniatures from the Critical Role unpainted miniatures line from Wizkids seem to be smaller and less detailed. i've been looking for a halfling ranger for some time and this little fellow was not a joy to paint at all.  found a half-orc fighter figure in a small box the other day. i was curious where she came from because i don't remember buying any half-orcs for sometime but anyways i painted her and added her to my red cloaked cult i created. i wanted to create an elf rogue that reminds me of my night elf rogue from Wor...
