potpourri mix of vermin and the uglies

i've been continuing cranking out miscellaneous miniatures for Dungeons and Dragons and even particularly Perilous Tales. finding miniatures in boxes and containers i forgot i even had, if i can throw some paint on it i quickly did, just to get them done and table ready. i guess it's wishful thinking of slimming down my plastic pile-a-shame. first off i found a small box of plastic creatures from Mantic Games i bought over a year ago and only painted certain creatures from it, so i took the little swarms of snakes and did them a quick green and some shade. and along with those i also found the last of my small toy snakes i remember from a plastic toy set from Wal-Mart. i painted two of these snakes before but this time around i did them in the same green to make it look like a happy snake family. for some time now i had the Mansion of Madness second edition board game from Fantasy Flight Games, just collecting dust and Rita and i haven't played it for some time now. so i to...

Space Wolves vs. Gellerpox Infected - 40k Kill Team

still learning the rules to Kill Team and the best way i learn is actually playing it. so i took what i have painted with my Space Wolves space marines and take on the Gellerpox Infected. since now i have the actual rules for them..(long story) i have been itching to see how they are in Kill Team. so i picked an easy mission, Face Off from the Commanders rulebook. Rune Priest in Terminator Armor and 125pts. of Space Wolf Company Veterans versus Vugrar Thrice-Cursed and 125pts. of the Infected. Mission: first team to take out enemy's commander wins. this game went six turns. was gonna end it at five but at beginning of turn six it was about to heat up. layout of the table. Space Wolves veterans deployment. my girlfriend was over when i was setting up and i had her roll for initiative, and made her deploy the space marines. she doesn't play much war games with me but she as they say in the movie Stripes "willing to learn." Wulfclaws and Bullets - Fistful of Lead

 past few days now i have my pulp miniatures all dug and messing around with them, and had a neat idea of a german unit that had sort of a secret. and after them were a group of hunters in a certain field of expertise that would be wolf hunting. instead of cleaning up after my game featuring the Shadow to make room for this weekend D&D game session, i instead rearranged some buildings and such got another game in. layout of the table. to lead this group in the service of His Majesty is Harrison Jones, Sir Jonathan Hyde II , British Army, Ret., Lucian Van Pelt, renowned hunter, Professor Graham Miller, members of Knights of the Crescent Moon, and a few hunting dogs. the  Sturmwölfe, the alpha, Ulric Wulfstan, the beta, Landuin Wulfomir, Günther Hedenulf, Franz Swithwulf, and few Sturmwölfe guards. battle lines are drawn in the streets in the middle of the city. guards open fire on the hunting dogs while Van Pelt takes aim for Swithwulf and scores a wound. acting cautiously....
