the Count's Trans-Serbian Renegades

Image
had these for some time now but never got around to doing a post on them. these are the Count Casamir's Trans-Serbian Renegades from Bob Murch/Pulp Figures. i will admit post WW1 and pre-WW2 russia era i am not too sure on history, so i am not totally sure why these fellows are renegades but whatever they seem like a nice group characters to run a pulp game with. the Count Chernikov Kasamir and his Trans-Serbian Renegades. the Count Chernikov Kasamir and his faithful hound, Bella. ( not sure where the dog figure is from. ) the Count's right hand man, Anatoliy Damir and Father Dimitri Rasputin. the religious character is a figure from i think Artizan Designs. Igor, the Count's faithful bodyguard and comrade, and the Countess Angelina Oksana Kasamir. ( the Countess didn't have anything in her right hand so i carefully clipped it off and replaced it with a spare hand w/ handgun from Pulp Alley weapon pack i was grateful to get a hold of. ) i kind of want to get some WW1 r...

Nacht Jagers

Image
not to long i got a hold of a pack of Nacht Jagers from Artizan Designs. got them all painted and played a few games with them, but for the longest time i wanted to get another pack of Jagers. i love the way these guys look and they give off an elite soldier feeling. almost like a killing squad with no limits and no remorse. now when i play Fistful of Lead i have a full squad and have them represent a squad of specialists instead of grunts. i might go back and paint a marking on one of the Jagers to have him marked out as a leader of the squad. squad of Nacht Jagers advancing through ruins. the Jagers set-up a position within the ruins under the command of the Stahl Mask and his guards.   so recently i did get another pack of the Mantic Games/North Star Figures Undead Encounters pack and took the ghouls from it and based them on 3mm bases so they'll fit in with my pulp collection.   Stahl Mask reaches for his communicator, " i have made contact with the test subjects." ...

palm trees and a tentacle monster

Image
earlier this week i purchased palm trees off of Amazon. i've been wanting to do this for sometime now, but couldn't find the right trees. i bought two packs of trees that have twenty trees in each pack. five different sizes, four each for roughly $13 each. so i figured forty trees would be nice to have a good enough assortment when i go to base them and such. took several quick pics of finished product. quick set up with buildings and the newly added tree stands. was able to created twelve tree stands. sneaking through the palms. i made two large tree stands that has 5-6 trees on a stand. members of the Hell Hounds spotted the enemies, the sergeant starts barking orders.   another miniature from my summer miniature haul. a tentacle creature in a well.

sandworms!

Image
finding one giant worm miniature from the vast hoard of miniatures and models several weeks, i got an idea of doing a monster scenario for a pulp game. last year a good friend ran a Terror in the Antarctic and had 3d printed monsters made after those from the movie "Tremors." i was gonna have some Tremor creatures printed, but instead i just went and ordered several more of the giant worm since i had one already. figured i could use them in my pulp games as well as my fantasy and sci-fi games. with these worms i used Games Workshop Citadel paints. i primed them with Grey Seer spray paint. i applied a nice coat of Guilliman Flesh contrast paint all over the model. once dried i went back and did a second coat along the sides and around the mouth opening of the worms. after everything was dried i gave a very generous coat of Nuln Oil, i tend to use the glossy kind. with the teeth, i did a coat of Tallarn Sand and then back over them with Kislev Flesh. members of the Knights of t...
