I shall call him…Bouldron

Image
a few weeks ago i converted a spare Rokkon figure into another Comet Warrior character. the reason for this was i ended reading several posts on Battle Ram Blog.com and noticed in a picture, Comet Warriors i was not familiar with. so i did some digging and couldn't find anything but i made the figure anyways and was going to give him a name of my own. when i painted the figure i kept the green that you see on his head but take some creative liberty and made the rest of the body kind of like i did with my other Comet Warriors.. now just a day or so ago i was messing around on Pinterest and found the following image of an unofficial bio pic and saw it had the same art from the old comic that i originally saw a while back. the name they gave him was Bouldron so even though this isn't official, this'll be the name i will label my miniature. and the way the color scheme they used for this character is mainly all green, i might go back and repaint my figure just to give the char...

operation MotU: miscellaneous characters III

Image
yet another round of characters but this time i found these on Etsy, and i have to say these were printed fairly well. i have been eyeing these for some time and i finally cracked and ordered them. once i got them i was anxious and impressed. i do get somewhat worrisome when it comes to ordering 3-d printed figures.  ModestMinisStudio  is the Etsy store i ordered these characters from. not too keen on the material they use to create the figures but it'll have to do. at least i was able to get a hold of these characters for my collection. these are 32mm, which i have learned with the CMON Clash of Eternia miniatures the scaling of these figures do somewhat differ from one another. so when i went to order these i was a little scared that they wouldn't fit with the others, but it works. Rio Blast. Jitsu. Draego-Man. not going to lie this is my favorite figure so far. when i was able to purchase Multi-Bot i also had the option of getting him in single figures. with so much i...

operation MotU: miscellaneous characters II

Image
another round of MotU miniatures and this time really miscellaneous characters. these characters i found in either the Masters of the Universe character guide and world compendium from Dark Horse Comics, that my wonderful girlfriend got me a few years back, or on Battle Ram Blog.com . since i painted up an Anti He-Man, it was only given he needed an Anti Battle Cat. and since i read there was to my knowledge an Anti Man-at-Arms and an Anti Orko, i painted up those since i had spare figures on hand. Anti Battle Cat. Anti Man-at-Arms and Anti Orko. after reading some articles on Battle Ram Blog i came across some interesting facts, and thought it would be interesting to see these on the tabletop and in game. Beast Man from concept art using an alternate color scheme.  "evil" Stratos, with a slight minor color difference. alternate "heroic" Mer-Man, also with some minor color difference. another member of the Rock People, i've seen artwork from a comic of rock peo...

operation MotU: miscellaneous characters

Image
recently i've taken a break from all things related to the hobby. sometime ago i had several MotU miniatures painted but not based and finished, but i managed to get those and several more completed before i went on vacation last week. during my hobby break i came across an interesting facebook page and website, Battle Ram Blog.com , where it dives into the background stories of the Masters of the Universe toy production and published books throughout the world. which i find fascinating one story could be different or slightly changed from one country to another. i did have the Great Rebellion faction next to be painted but with my hobby hiatus, i did some miscellaneous characters and even some odd ball characters that either came from fairly recent toy lines or just cool concept ideas/artwork. Slamurai. Shadow Beasts. more Eternian Guards. Golden Rod, a concept character created for the Snake Men. could not find much more info on the robot but it was too cool not to create. Teela...

more MotU madness

Image
after getting the Snake Men finished i been contemplating on getting another copy of the CMON Clash of Eternia kickstarter sets to make more characters i do not have or create new ones with different painting schemes. going over pages and pages of listings on eBay i found a decent set for a decent price. i took some time and went over the contents of each box set mapping out what figures i want to either convert into new characters and which ones i would use for pieces and such. i look at this as a passion project but also a cheap excuse to delay getting the She-Ra and the Great Rebellion figures painted. haha. the package arrived when i was at work, and once i got home i pulled out the figures i knew right away i wanted to begin to work on. a few i have to wait for because i need additional supplies like green stuff putty and some paint, and of course some nice weather. since finishing the Snake Men i want to create some more characters from this faction. i want to use the Fang-Or bod...

operation MotU: the Snake Men

Image
after several months of taking a break from painting my MotU figures i was watching a few episodes of the 2002 Masters of the Universe series and i got a little inspiration to continue Operation MotU. i asked my good friend Doctor Merkury (go visit his blog page, Doctor Merkury's Lab ), which faction should i do next and he suggested Snake Men, so here we are. there were some miniatures i was sort of intimidated by painting and some i was just not fond of how they were sculpted and such. but i think they came out fairly well i tried to stick to the color schemes of either the original toys. King Hiss, in human form and snake form. Snake Face and Lady Slither. Rattlor. Fang-Or and Tung Lashor. when i went to paint Tung Lashor i tried to duplicate the markings the MotU Origins action figure has. Sssqueeze. the miniature had the arms sculpted down to the base so i bent the arms upwards which meant i had to replace the hands since they would have broken off with spare Warhammer Skaven ...

aliens and demons

Image
ever since the new year i have been tracking the amount of figures i have painted, and i'm kinda curious what the number will look like come the end of this year. i've been wanting to get a few games in but haven't had the time unfortunately. recently i got some hellhounds from Next Level Miniatures, these were good for the price and some cleaning up had to be done but overall nice figures. there was a large three-headed hellhound i had to get. i had to use some green stuff to fix some miscasting around the heads of the large hound. hopefully soon i can unleash these onto my D&D group. some evil sorcerers summoning a great hound of hell. finally got around painting some aliens from CMON's Zombicide: Invader boardgame. sadly i didn't get into the game as i thought i would, but i held on to the miniatures from it to use in other tabletop games. i have many more sitting around in a box which i might paint different colors as time goes on or if i need certain aliens...

operation MotU: wave 6

Image
wave six is the last group of miniatures of the Heroic and Evil Warriors. along with this wave of figures i also completed another group of Eternian Guards and the Eternian Royal Family. even though Prince Adam was part of wave 3 in 1984 and King Randor in wave 6 in 1986, Queen Marlena did not have an action figure during the original toyline. so i decided to group all three here. i do have a Cringer i could paint but i am not fond of the figure, so for the time being i'm just going to set the figure aside. wave six consists of Clamp Champ, King Randor, Queen Marlena, Prince Adam, another group of Eternian Guards, Sorceress, Blast Attak, Ninjor, and Scareglow. Heroic Warriors. Clamp Champ. King Randor, Queen Marlena, and Prince Adam. Sorceress. i have to admit i was not happy with how this figure was coming out. i hate painting with white. Eternian Guards. i took some of the pieces of rock terrain from the Battle of Eternia boardgame and based them and painted them so they can repr...
