ever since i jumped into Dungeons and Dragons, i have been painting and working on many more Wizkids miniatures. and since i started a campaign with a group of friends i been collecting an assortment characters and monsters. a few months ago i bought a pack of D&D Fangs and Talons booster pack, just to see what was in the set. i pulled a Thayan Apprentice, which i thought were cool so i ordered another one. last year sometime i acquired these monsters and wasn't sure what they were. at the time i was not into D&D and not even sure where they came from. then i found out they are from WotC and the creatures are called Ethereal Marauder. out of the same pack where the Thayan Apprentice came from, i pulled this Gas Spore. all the miniature above were painted, i added a wash to them and gave them bases that would match the ones my other D&D miniatures were on. and still plugging away with my Wizkids figures, here is a blue male Dragonborn fighter. here is a black female Drag...

 today is my girlfriend's birthday. and so i thought it would be nice to host a game to where she and her boys would team up and play as a recovering team that landed on a deserted ship to find artifacts. four teams of three would scour the ship for these items. each item recovered is worth victory points, but the main victory is to survive and escape the ship with the artifacts. i used a modified version of Fistful of Lead for a rule set. with all the excitement and having too much fun and didn't think of taking a lot of pics. but with what pics that were taken, they were taken by Rita, i think she does a better job at it than me. the recovering teams arrive on a elevator. i wanted to have these teams to find the artifacts but have some kind of a resistance. i used the game mechanic of blip markers from the Space Hulk game. i did this because of the shock factor it produces when revealed how many aliens are incoming and the faces of Rita's boys' faces is priceless.  continuing playing the scenarios out of the FFoL: Galactic Heroes rulebook. this time the heroes need to transport a bomb to blow up the building that holds the generator that shields a prototype machine that would become the Death Star. layout of the table. using my newly constructed large building as the target for the heroic team to destroy. the Galactic Heroes. the villainous henchmen for the Trade Federation. waiting patiently for the right time to attack. transporting the explosives. setting up a defense line. taking pot shots to the heroes. first blood, and out of ammo. safely taking the bomb to its destination but trying to take out some enemies. the crew leader took an early wound but used the R2 unit to take the wound. the heroes taking damage. the henchmen taking positions into taking out the threat from the heroes. all sorts of damage and carnage. desperate melee. at this point of the game there were so many shock counters distributed between the two groups. the crew ...

 played another scenario from the FFoL: Galactic Heroes rulebook. this time around its almost a four way battle but with some exceptions. there is a group of smugglers who has a shipment of priceless resources, a crew of pirates are waiting with the payment, a group of down on their luck Republic loyalists looking to interfere, and a patrol of Trade Federation looking for the shipment and arrest the smugglers. layout of the table. the patrol of the Trade Federation. group of pirates waiting for the shipment. the unluckiest group of the Republic. the smugglers with a hover wagon. shots fired. scoping out the competition. looking to intercept the shipment before the pirates. the Trade Federation exchanging blaster fire with the smugglers. the unlucky crew and the pirates fighting for ground. in the center of town, the unlucky crew are fighting two sides and defending the smugglers from the Federation. so much bloodshed. the strong arm of the crew takes the shots to protect his crew l...
