another great find from the acquired haul few months back. an out of print Arcane Ruins terrain set from Games Workshop. pictured is my Tales of Horror necromancer's band of undead and ghouls. quick and easy paint scheme. spray painted the pieces with Citadel Zandri Dust. then drybrushed with an Apple Barrel White. i didn't want to spend a lot of time on these, just something to get them on the table quickly. the pillar of the Dread Skull, still thinking of painting the insets of a light brown but not sure yet. i will probably will go back and do some other things, little details and such. might look for another set of these on ebay, these look great and such a great additions to my middle east table set i got going on.

more additional figures to my miniature collection that i acquired few months back. i found in a bin of metal and plastic, this robot miniature that i actually had no idea had it was supposed to be pieced together. had to ask in my one gaming group on facebook, what the miniature was or from what company hopefully someone was able to supply a picture on how it looked. was kinda undetermined on how to paint this model. was going to add it to my pulp Nazis collection and add Nazis iconography on it, but i painted it a neutral gray and black so i can add it to any other group during game play. and found these demonic hounds. painted these with Citadel contrast paint. i used Volupus Pink as a base color. these were fast and quick to do. three colors, spines, gnarling teeth, and base color for the skin. and same with these giant bats. same idea with these guys, used Citadel contrast paint. used the Space Wolves Grey contrast paint. didn't do really much to these either. three colors, e

last night after spending time at the local hobby shop and coming home with some new loot for my pulp collection and also for an upcoming project. on the way home Rita asked if we could do a little gaming and why not, this is such a great way to spend vacation from work. late night gaming with the one you love. so we played a small skirmish with warbands using the FFoL: Tales of Horror rules. i have to say first time using this book from the Fistful of Lead line, it was quite fun. in this necromancer group, to go along with my middle eastern theme, the zombies in my group are mummies. layout of the table. a group has come across ruins in the desert where a follower of an ancient power has reanimated the dead. flying ace Garrett Cunningham sneaks behind a pillar, and started to become surrounded by hordes of rats and mummies. ghouls preparing to ambush anyone they can sink their claws and teeth into. after some great dice rolling and people dying, the necromancer starts to chant and dar

Dracula: Lost Souls in London

always a great feeling when you come across something that you didn't know existed. few months ago i came across a little black box. now there was no packaging, no sticker on the box, nothing. i opened the little box, and in this little black box were several pewter miniatures. these miniatures were unpainted and all one piece. ( not my case, image from internet to show packaging ) as i looked over the miniatures i kept looking at two particular figures. a man in an old fashioned suit and top hat, and a woman in a very Victorian style dress. and then all of a sudden my brain started to joggle memories and images and scenes from a movie and i kinda muttered "holy shit!" my friend Ron looked over and i replied, "these are Bram Stoker's Dracula miniatures!" went home and stashed the little black box on one of my gaming shelves for safe keeping. it wasn't until few weeks ago i noticed on the back of the little box an address of Leading Edge Games. so i googl
