palm trees and a tentacle monster

Image
earlier this week i purchased palm trees off of Amazon. i've been wanting to do this for sometime now, but couldn't find the right trees. i bought two packs of trees that have twenty trees in each pack. five different sizes, four each for roughly $13 each. so i figured forty trees would be nice to have a good enough assortment when i go to base them and such. took several quick pics of finished product. quick set up with buildings and the newly added tree stands. was able to created twelve tree stands. sneaking through the palms. i made two large tree stands that has 5-6 trees on a stand. members of the Hell Hounds spotted the enemies, the sergeant starts barking orders.   another miniature from my summer miniature haul. a tentacle creature in a well.

Brotherhood of the Chromatic Tomb

more from the miniature haul, this time around several cultists to add to my collection. unfortunately these fellows came unarmed so i purchased few packs of weapons with hands attached (only the right hand though 😕). i used an assortment of ranged weapons. i named these fanatics the Brotherhood of the Chromatic Tomb. gives it something of flavor and character. left one out and painted him differently slightly as the leader. wanted him a little different, and gave him a robotic hand holding a staff. the picture isn't great but his robotic hand is like an old school clamp hand. in Fistful of Lead, shotguns are kinda fun to use, so i added least one in this group just to have some fun. now with these finished, can't wait to add them to my FFoL games, they might possibly be in an upcoming game in the Golden Scarab serial.

who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men?

growing up ever since seeing the 1994 movie, i've been a fan of the character, the Shadow. so since i found the Reaper Miniatures version of the character i wanted to include him in my Fistful of Lead games. since he is a really special character (least in my eyes), i created a profile for the Wiley Games' Fistful of Lead. some of the traits i created and some i tweaked. the Shadow shoot: d12, close combat: d12 traits: · Veteran : You use a d12 for all rolls.  · Two Guns : You can use burst fire at close range without having to go “Out of Ammo” automatically.   · Tough as Nails : You can take up to 4 Wounds instead of 3. · Smart : Add +1 to any task roll.   · Supernatural Abilities (psionics, pg. 45 of the Galactic Heroes rulebook) - Master of Stealth : -1 to be hit if target of Shooting, this stack with Creeping. - Expert Detective : the Shadow receives an extra +1 to task rolls.  - Shadow Walk : The Shadow can slide between shadows and cross distances in the blink of an eye.

eldritch horrors and giant creatures

still plugging away from the miniature haul i was able to get a hold of few months back. this time around i've been finishing up big creatures of the enormous and cosmic kind. this model from Reaper Miniatures wasn't from the miniature haul, but it is part of my Lovecraft collection i started to accumulated. it is a Reaper Bones Dark Young. had several of the classic Necromunda creatures, Millisaurs. and also quite several of the Ripper Jacks. these came with also Beastmasters from the classic Necromunda line. i do have giants rats in queue to be completed at the moment. this fellow is from RAFM Miniatures. i had to look it up to see what it was or where it come from. according to their website it is a Lesser Other God. and this also came from RAFM Miniatures, and it is a Elder Thing. now being a person who hates spiders i was like man this would look great on the table but damn, wouldn't you know it i actually scared myself one morning while walking into the game room an

Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse

gonna say back in 1997-98, i started getting into fifth edition Warhammer fantasy. i started collecting Army of Bretonnia because they came in the box set. then i moved from them to Chaos Warriors to finally settling on the Undead. as i was collecting Undead, i started looking at other miniature companies for better looking undead miniatures. came across Reaper Miniatures and discovered a mounted skeleton on a large half decayed goat. at the time i thought this was the coolest thing ever. unbeknownst to me, i didn't realize this fellow was kinda part of a set in a way. he was part of the horsemen of the apocalypse group. after over 20 years, i finally came to the point that i wanted to get them all. found these on Ebay and i was extremely happy and anxious to get them assembled and painted. the horsemen of the apocalypse. when deciding who would be who, i did some research and reading and also referred to what Reaper Miniatures has them labeled as. as i painted them i tried my bes
