going into Historicon 2025 i had a very small grocery list of what i really wanted and what i needed. and as usual i did spend a little too much than i was budgeting but hell don't we all go a little overboard from time to time. got Rita a box of soldiers for her spanish pirate hunters. probably going to mix the sailor plastic bits with this set for the swords and pistols. found this fellow in a miscellaneous figure dump bin. saw him and thought this would be a perfect figure for a half-ogre we created in our D&D story. Zug-Zug, the friendly half-ogre that works in a tavern and is half intelligent, at least enough to add simple numbers and pour ale.  i saw this, the package said "demonic goat" and i bought it. enough said. another idol of Cthulhu. you can never have enough statues of the Elder Ones! Rita got me this because she knew i wanted to redo or even add more to my pulp collection, also they have german shepards. haha. now i can add dogs to my pulp games. more ...

 blaming crappy work schedules and lack of motivation i took a hobby break and basically just put everything on hold. sadly even my wild west Perilous Tales campaign was put on hold, i just didn't feel like pulling out stuff to set up a table and then take it down for something else. back in May when i started my wild west Perilous Tales campaign i got a few things for a particular scenario where it involved the villains, the Whateleys. i got a terrain piece to represent their home and eventually getting a broken down barn. a partially built broken down home. i still have to put the covered porch on it and paint. i bought this way back thinking this would be great to make my wild west version of the infamous family, the Whateleys. a few weeks ago i did however get my Silver Bayonet pirates built and put together but it didn't come with some headaches. i have to say the instructions to assemble the miniatures are not very clear. certain arms that go with one another are not clea...

back when i bought the Silver Bayonet book i was anxious and excited to dive into it. and then bought a few plastic sets of British and French infantry. after some time the realization is set in painting military uniforms and such, i got kind of overwhelmed and somewhat lost interest in it. but recently i joined the official Silver Bayonet facebook page, i was getting an itch back in myself of giving it another go. then i read a post someone wrote about instead of using napoleonic miniatures would it be ok to use pirate figures instead. after many people were saying that's an idea i thought about it myself. and thought that would be  a great idea. i figured it would be different and easier to paint. and like usual this puts more on the list of things to paint and get done, in addition to the MotU figures to paint, the wild west Perilous Tales plus terrain, and now what ever comes out of this pirate project.    first i got myself the two player starter box set. mainly for ...
