 continuing this week of diving into Sliver Bayonet game the other day i received a box of british riflemen from Wargames Atlantic. i guess like everyone else i wanted to make a unit of riflemen that is featured in the british television show, Sharpe. along with these i have also a box of french infantry and an order of creatures and monsters for Silver Bayonet still to be delivered. but i also got some more figures painted from Historicon the other week and others that were lying around gathering dust. even though i can only use so many out of this set, maybe i'll make some zombies or revenants with them. the french infantry plastic set that is on it's way i plan on making maybe 10-15 undead soldiers from that box.  a ghoul from the Wizkids Frameworks minature line. this particular fellow is a character who was killed in our Dungeons and Dragons campaign that somehow cheated death. can't wait to drop this ghoul on the unsuspecting party.  a vampire lord from Next Level M...

 i haven't been very productive this past month, i guess mentally i am taking a break. i have not done any type of gaming with my work schedule and even Rita's are being rearranged and messed with setting time aside to game is near impossible. during this down time i was looking at a new game, Silver Bayonet from Osprey Games. a napoleonic-horror skirmish table-top game. being a horror fan this intrigues me, but also being somewhat a historical game this is definitely outside of what i'm used to. at this past Historicon last weekend, i did manage to find a copy of Silver Bayonet and the supplement book that takes place in Egypt. i looked it over and ordered a box of infantry and elites from Perry Miniatures, also a box of british rifles from Wargames Atlantic. first of the plastic sets i ordered. being the damn near first time getting into actual historical wargames, i will take my time putting these together and painting. i have to say Perry Miniatures are nice. the painti...

 well this month was full of inspiration but lacked motivation. in between working, feeling ill and everyday life i really wanted to paint up several orcs for this year's Orctober. but i did manage to paint up an orc warlord mounted on a dire wolf. i imagined this fellow will be my leader for the warband of orcs i have and hoping to incorporate someway into my D&D campaign next year. just need to buckle down and get them painted. had this figure for several months before i decided to paint him. just didn't have a use for him at the time. painted him with a pale gray color instead of the usual green, i did have an idea having Lindsey's half-orc female fighter have some kind of ties to this orc clan i want to create, since her fighter character is also gray skin color.  been making some statues for scatter pieces of terrain out of miniatures that either i have no use for or just doesn't fit in my collections i got going at the moment. most of the miniatures that i am using as scatter pieces were from the hobby haul i got few years back. one of the coolest monuments i wanted to do was using an old but cool as hell Death Dealer miniature from Ral Partha from 1977. added him to a 50mm base with a black base coat and a few generous coats of FolkArt Antique Gold paint. then attached to a ice tea bottle top and finally glued to a jewelry box. pics of the Death Dealer before being modified into a statue. also came across a Skeletor miniature out of a 1983 set from Grenadier Models. it wasn't in scale with what MotU figures i already have so i just made it into a fearsome statue. this statue of a vampire of sorts. not sure the miniature company that made this but it is nice.   for sometime now i wanted to get an additional 3x3 game mat for smaller g...

with all the D&D figures i've been painting i never got around to take a pic of our gaming group's band of adventurers. this merry band of adventurers are: Nafaris Cresthill - Tiefling Ranger, Grungni Whitebeard - Dwarf Cleric, "Crinkle Shorts" - Gnome Warlock, Breena Clodagh - Elf Druid, Nanna Gunnhild - Goliath Barbarian. many adventures ahead for these five.... along with the miniature that i used for my dwarf cleric, this was also the other dwarf in the pack. since i made Grungni a War Domain cleric, i converted some gear options and made this fellow a Life Domain cleric. i clipped his left arm that originally had a 2h warhammer with a shield from the new Wizkids Dwarf Cleric Frameworks miniature and also the 1h mace that came from the same miniature set. but i replace the head of the mace with a mace head from an old Warhammer Regiment plastic sprue. i named this character Ulric Falstad. found some Ral Partha Axe Beaks that i got from last year. i painted a f...

 still painting the back log of miniatures i was fortunately able to get in on. this time around in i got several monsters and few vehicles completed. i painted these several weeks ago but never got around to post pics on the blog. was very pleased to get several Ral Partha miniatures in the past and still amazes me to this day on how great Ral Partha miniatures are. the Jabberwocky miniature might be one of the few monster figures i have i actually had fun painting. love the old classic miniatures that are either one piece or 2 pieces. makes everything simple when time comes to assembling and paint. ever since i got into pulp tabletop wargaming and extending my collection with mummies and Egyptian themed miniatures, i always wanted a scorpion king. luckily i found one within Reaper Miniatures catalog. and to round out the bunch, finally got these WWII German motorcycles finished. i dragged my feet on these for a month or so, but got them done. will add these to my German pulp fig...

after i painted my orc warbands for the ORCtober challenge, i pulled together a miscellaneous group of villainous proportion. i had this group painted for a few months, but only now came around to take pics and post them on here. and i figure since i am going through a fantasy themed moment might as well post now. i wanted this group a very mix of characters and races, and what can to be was a group of humans, beastmen, and an orc. Knights of Kirin. Mordek has hired some muscle to aid him in finding the mythical Wyrmrest Blade. some say it is lost forever in time, but forbidden texts reads that a powerful wizard knows the whereabouts of it. a seer of the dark magik, Kirin Tenebris. Malagor, a beastman banished from his tribe. Brak, orc mercenary of the Bad Moon clan Wulfrik, a Chaos champion. Roshakuna, a minotaur who is in service to Kirin Tenebris and also disliked by Malagor.
