assorted characters for D&D

haven't been doing much of any painting, just redoing bases to my wild west
figures and several fantasy miniatures.
i did start painting the miniature that were in the
Solomon Kane board game expansion, Against the Vampires, i got awhile back.

"KILL THE BEAST!"

Negari Warriors from the Solomon Kane game.
these are a tad bigger than Wizkids miniatures but they work as a tribe of some sort
or even primitive Goliaths.
since they are of the same sculpt i twisted and turn the hand with the sword in a way
to make them all different in some way.

"what are you, you foul creature?!" Autolycus questioned with his swords readied.
"I am an architect of fate, a changer of ways, to some i am a lord of change."

finally got around painting a Scarsfell Griffon warbeast from Privateer Games.

when painting this figure i used the slapchop method like i did with the
3d printed Orcus model ways back.
a friend gave me make-up brushes which is suggested to use for slapchop,
and i have to say it makes the process so much better.

the model was already primed with a brown color, i went over it with a black using
Apple Barrel paint.
painted the body with Space Wolf Grey contrast paint from Citadel.
watered down Xereus Purple for the hood and loincloth.
Lite Mocha Apple Barrel paint for the beak.
i watered down the black as a wash over the wings to use the white from the
early stage drybrushing so i didn't have to do another layer of highlights on the wings.
and finally Antique Gold from Folk Art for the wrist and ankle bands
with some black wash.
with drying time configured it took me maybe a hour just the figure,
to be completed painted.

vampires from the Solomon Kane board game expansion.
able to use them as blood thirsty ghouls or even hellish vampire creatures.

Roshakuna prepares to make his last stand.

  1. It's always great to see your D&D minis.
I don't know the Solomon Kane game, but those vampires do look great as ghouls. Excellent!

    1. thank you, i'm not familiar with the Solomon Kane games either, but some of the other box sets do have some interesting figures if you ever find them cheap or free.
