fear of the unknown
recently the new "seasons" of Cthulhu: Death May Die board games came out and i was
screaming like a girl at a boy band concert.
making sure all my bills are paid and i was even able to drop some green on these.
i have been watching when these were coming out ever since it's kickstarter was
announced back around the end of 2022 beginning of 2023..ish.
season three is pretty much a revamped core set with everything new.
scenarios, monsters, more investigators, and even elder ones,
which i was excited about.
unlike season two expansion, season four comes with one elder one, Nyarlathotep!
and stupid me is thinking in the tiniest part in my head of purchasing all four boxes
again to have another set of figures to paint for some table-top pulp wargames or even
monsters to use in D&D.
before i even think about it,
i need to get ALL of my MotU miniatures painted, based, and completed.
the new rulebook explains several things in a clearer sense than the original one,
which is always a plus.
the artwork for the covers and boxes as usual are superb.
the D&D group got together and we had a downtime gaming session,
and i introduced them to Death May Die.
so we redid the scenario with a different elder one.
chaos erupts across the gaming table.
a friend of mine from New Jersey was curious about the game so i took some pics of it,
he was unsure of getting into it based on how much gaming space you need for it.
it does eat up quite a bit of space on a fairly nice size kitchen table.
the second game we did, Rita picked to have Hastur to be the elder one.
the King in Yellow!
here's Chris just explaining his great scheme of whatever. haha.
at one point this man was rolling 7 dice to attack.
i was just happy with my four.
Hastur has appeared on the board.
all hell breaks loose.
when everyone went home Rita and i were going to play out the next scenario but it got late,
better for next time.
overall everyone grasped the rules quite well and had fun which was the most
important thing to me.
