lrn2play: Deth Wizards - story mode

Image
last weekend or so i bought Deth Wizards, a pretty cool game that after watching some introduction and game-play videos on it, i was surprised how easy i was able to pick up on it. i really love how there isn't much to it based on the fact it is an agnostic miniature game. so i basically had most of what i needed to play. i might have to get some actual buildings but i do have the "buildings" that i can use for now from the Tenfold Dungeon "The Town" box set. so a day or so later i made a quick necromancer character and an undead warband. i used one of my D&D characters for this game and it's just funny how in D&D he is actually a wizard of the college of necromancy. i picked an easy legacy of necromancy to use at first. i went with the ability to choose undead that are hulks and are a little bit of a tank.   after writing down all the information i need to play a story mode campaign, i played an introduction game for myself to get the basics down wh...

more fantasy miniatures

about a week or so ago i finished up several fantasy miniatures before i begin my Paint What You Got challenge with my MotU Evil Horde and Great Rebellion figures. hopefully with weather permitting next month i can get all of them if not the majority of them done before Feb. 26th deadline. continuing painting up more miniatures from the Wildspire plastic miniature set i bought off of Amazon. i picked out some of the more interesting and well noticeable figures i could use in my D&D games and also other fantasy based table-top games i have. female dwarf cleric female human druid and a monk who is blind. i didn't realize until i painted him that he had a blindfold on his face. i thought that was kinda cool and surprising. a male elf bard. female dragonborn spellcaster and a female tiefling rogue.

lrn2play: Deth Wizards

i watched a video on Youtube maybe over a year ago and it was about playing as a necromancer and controlling a band of the undead. and i thought that was kind of interesting but i never acted on it or what-not. until like a few days ago i was on Wargames Vault.com and remembered the necromancer game and went to re-watch a few more videos to see if it would be something i would like to get into. i bought the pdf and accidentally the pdf file of game cards, but i'll make use of them. took a day or two and read over the basic rules and created a band of undead minions. once i got my warband created, i went back to YouTube and watched some more game play videos to get a good grasp on the rules, which is how i learn better than reading a book cover to cover. i watched quite a bit of videos from the channel The Tabletop Engineer Plays and he goes through a nice campaign of his own for solo play, which i basically got this game for. the main thing about this game i truly like is that i ge...

operation MotU: miscellaneous characters VI

Image
awhile back i got a few 3D prints made of some characters for my MotU collection. unfortunately the shop i got my first sets of prints from, ModestMiniStudio must have gone under or just pulled out because they are not on Etsy anymore. which i was kind of sad, they had great figures. i went on Etsy and found a nice shop called NaHminiatures. click here to visit. i really like how these prints i am finding on Etsy are scaling nicely with the CMON miniatures i have been acquiring for some time.   this time around i got Sk-Klone and Dragstor made. Sy-Klone. i wasn't a fan of him having his shield on top of his wrist like that but what can you do? i was happy that this print had the red fan decor on his back. i've seen a few Sy-Klones with and without it and in my opinion it looks cool with it. Dragstor. when i got this character printed the Etsy shop also had another pose to offer and i could not pass it up because it would be nice to look on the table-top. i just wish he had a be...
