late night Fistful of Lead: Reloaded

since showing Rita the game of Ruthless, i never cleared the game table.
and we had some time off together once again so we had some fun with a late night game.
and since there was the wild west terrain still out, i told her to set up a little town
and we ended playing some Fistful of Lead: Reloaded.

simple game of law versus outlaw.
i played as some bank robbing criminals who were looking for a way out of town,
and Rita played as the long arm of the law.

we haven't played Fistful of Lead in such a long time i figured it would have been nice
to dust off the rulebook and give it a go.

the table set-up Rita made.

trying to get out of Dodge!
my poor girl with a rifle and i kept rolling 1's which is out of ammo and turning around
and sacrificing a turn to reload.
this happened to me three times with this particular character.

after Rita quietly positioned a lawman up on a rooftop, i did the same equally quieter.
but in the end i would lose him to a rifle shot.

in the Reloaded rules there is an action where you can pick up and drop items....
so i picked up a ladder and carried it to another building to get a better view.

Rita moving her lawmen into a sweeping maneuver to clean me out.
i have to admit she is getting better every year playing these games with me.

with a lone lawman, Rita was able to stop me in my tracks from getting to the area to
win the game.

with a small game going well into the late night hours,
we had a blast.
i think i am going through my western phase again because i am gearing up for a few
wild west Perilous Tales and also looking into another western game that i have
been wanting to try for a long time.

  1. Fantastic looking game, and always nice when you can get in a little extra unplanned gaming.

  2. That looks like a lot of fun.
Which rules do you prefer, Ruthless or FfoL?

    1. I like both rules for different reason.
ruthless is great because you have to keep track of your ammo, FFoL is great at having playing cards as activations.
