D&D: four years later
.jpg)
another year in the books and ever so close to the five year anniversary next year.
just thinking of spending four years playing with the same folks (mostly) and
running with the same characters that we all made and love, is amazing.
i cannot wait for our group's fifth anniversary i will have to plan some kind of
remarkable campaign or even an incredible encounter that brings everything together.
but for now our fourth year is written and we have come a long way in our short time together.
a year later felt like only a short time because we had fun and had a great time together.
we created a whole new group for them as we do for new players but yet as time went on,
we had an idea for even more characters so another group of PC's were created.
and yes i ended up making more PC's and NPC's of my own.
i've expressed in the past that i enjoy writing up these yearly reports,
because it documents our growth and the changes we have gone through over time.
i originally started writing this post back in Dec '25 and now finishing it April '26 and
unfortunately with one of our dear members who stopped playing, schedule conflicts,
and life just taking over more than before,
we all agreed to pause our D&D campaign and such and just take a break,
out of respect for him and we just didn't want to continue without him.
we did however decide to create a new campaign with a few of our existing characters.
taking a few of our existing characters and starting fresh at level 5 no matter
what level they were originally.
some of us love the characters we created so much we couldn't say good bye.
we did agree on one rule though,
any storyline lore or history these "new" characters were a part of in the old campaign
does not exist.
we are going to start from scratch and create brand new adventures with some familiar names.
we all picked our favorite characters we made throughout this past year and decided to
basically focus on running them to level 20.
i couldn't decide what character to take to level 20, so i made a new one but of course
it is a cleric.
seems to be my go-to class.

the "new" adventuring company:
Usagi - female harengon rogue,
Wynze - male tiefling sorcerer,
Thorgrimm - male dwarf cleric,
and Scully - female elf wizard.
but this past week we did in fact begin our new campaign and i thought let's start with
such a cliché and begin our adventure in a tavern.

once again with only a simple idea came about a fun and reckless three hours of
wholesome goodness.
i will say i should play the lottery because on two separate occasions,
i rolled double 20's.

i had to take pics for visual proofs.
these pics were taken about 60 mins. apart.
when this all happened i was in shock and i wanted to share it on here because
this never happens to me.

overall we had a great time starting a new adventure,
and hopefully as the year goes on i can post some of our quests on here.
Shame the group dynamic had to change, but life does get in the way sometime. Good to see the rest of you are carrying on, and definitely get a lottery ticket, with those rolls ! LOL
