some more random figures for D&D

recently while in the middle of painting my Masters of the Universe figures i took a trip to a local gaming store that has a decent assortment of Wizkids and Reaper miniatures but also available are 3d printed figures done by one of the associates that works there. while not looking for anything in particular i came across several nice figures that i bought just for humor and actually using one as a D&D character. a very bushy tailed fox like animal that i painted as a small fiery elemental creature. tried my best blending the reds, oranges, and yellows with a tip of white. muscle bound and raging!!! i found this dwarf or could be a very upset little helper that's just pissed off at Santa Claus. i saw this figure and i had to get it.  i saw this figure and i knew i had to get him. me personally i am not a cat person but once i saw this i had an idea of a D&D character. a tabaxi wizard of the school of necromancy, named Sindarus, the Shadowpaw.   last weekend i ordered figur

Recovering Artifacts

 today is my girlfriend's birthday. and so i thought it would be nice to host a game to where she and her boys would team up and play as a recovering team that landed on a deserted ship to find artifacts. four teams of three would scour the ship for these items. each item recovered is worth victory points, but the main victory is to survive and escape the ship with the artifacts. i used a modified version of Fistful of Lead for a rule set. with all the excitement and having too much fun and didn't think of taking a lot of pics. but with what pics that were taken, they were taken by Rita, i think she does a better job at it than me. the recovering teams arrive on a elevator. i wanted to have these teams to find the artifacts but have some kind of a resistance. i used the game mechanic of blip markers from the Space Hulk game. i did this because of the shock factor it produces when revealed how many aliens are incoming and the faces of Rita's boys' faces is priceless. the Well of Lost Stars

 with my D&D group's campaign came to a conclusion last weekend, i needed some thing to let the one group of characters to transfer from my campaign to a fellow group member, Jon's campaign. so i thought what i could do or even use for an easy transfer. i thought i'll use a plot device to teleport the group of heroes to where the next campaign will begin. the Well of Lost Stars. the main part of this terrain piece was part of a failed 3-d print of the Stargate, from the movie of the same name. i have another piece that was printed just not as thicker, i might make it into another Well. the band of heroes investigates the Well of Lost Stars. "what could this be?" the tricky rogue, Usagi asked curiously. to make the green substance is basically some amount of paint and Elmer's glue. i took a light shade of green and mixed it in the glue, then i filled the inside area with the mixed glue and finally added a few dots of a darker green. i ran a toothpick around
