one thousand and one nights with a blue fellow

have been playing a wild west rpg with the girlfriend and her boys.
and for some odd reason while adventuring down into a underground temple
in the southwest of 1880's America,
there was a golden lamp tucked away in a hoard of gold and treasure.

so i had to order a genie miniature for her to use while we played.
i did use pics of the genie from the Disney's Aladdin movie that had Robin Williams in it.she saw it for the first time during play and she fell in love with it.

here are some pic featuring my objective counters and the genie.

the genie miniature is a Reaper Miniature.
at the base of the figure that was a lamp and a skull but i didn't like it there,
so i covered it all with sand and texture and paint over it.
overall this miniature was a joy to paint.

operation MotU: wave 2

  continuing with the Masters of the Universe figures from CMON with wave two. wave two consists of Man-E-Faces, Ram Man, Evil-Lyn, Faker, Trap Jaw, Tri-Klops, Panthor. for a change of pace i ended up painting a few hover robots since i have a decent amount of them and they were not part of the original toy-line. Heroic Warriors Man-E-Faces is a member of the Heroic Warriors, notable by his distinctive appearance, with his large, blue metal head on which his faces appear in its screen-like opening. His ability is to change his face from his regular human face to that of a robot and a monster. Ram Man is a member of the Heroic Warriors, characterized by his bulky, spring-legged appearance and flat-topped metal helmet. His special ability is to knock opponents or obstacles down with his super-hard helmet. Evil-Lyn attempts to cast a spell at Teela. operation MotU: wave 1

 so begins a great adventure.... when i bought the CMON Masters of the Universe board game i knew what i was getting myself into. but over time i didn't realize what kind of pile of shame i would have. so i thought instead of being overwhelmed with what i should paint first, i thought i'll paint what the original toy-line was back in the '80's starting with wave 1. wave 1 consists of He-Man, Man-at-Arms, Teela, Stratos, Battle Cat, Skeletor, Mer-Man, Beast Man, and Zodac.  i painted them like the original cartoon or close enough to it. Heroic Warriors He-Man is the alter ego of Prince Adam and also the twin brother of She-Ra. He-Man and his friends defend Eternia, the secrets of Castle Grayskull, and the entire universe from the evil forces of his archenemy Skeletor. Man-At-Arms is the primary title of Duncan. the madness has begun..

 recently we started a new adventure with our D&D group and i really wanted to do something different as far as encounters with NPC's and monsters alike. i've been reading a lot of H.P. Lovecraft lately and i wanted to play out some of the stories that i read here as of late. the back story of the Necronomicon really intrigues me, so i went and found several arab miniatures from a box of plastic arab spearmen/archers and made my own "Mad" Abdul Alhazred. with the two sets of the temple from Tenfold Dungeons and the recently ordered Lovecraftian monsters from WotC, i am excited to see how everyone reacts to what i have in stored for everyone. and also with such figures on hand i can play some really interesting pulp games. within the ruins of whats left of a temple, Alhazred begins reading from tattered pages from an ancient tome. slowly losing his mind in the process. continuing redoing the bases of my miniature collection. i need more camels. the oozes i'm us
