ghosts and specters!

last weekend for our D&D game session my group had to seek out an ogre mage,
but along the way they ran into some spirits that were not all too friendly.

not gonna lie it was fun as hell running these guys.
harassing the party and even got a chance to possess a player
who in turn was killed by her fellow party members.

i used the ghouls from the Mantic Games Undead Encounter plastic set,
painted them all white, gave the figures a paint wash using
Apple Barrel Cool Blue, and then glue a clear flying peg underneath to a base.
i did not use any black wash like i normally do because i wanted them to
almost look  like they were see through.

at first i was gonna use these fellows as cultists,
but i really wanted ghosts but i did not like the selection Wizkids has
in their D&D line.

same thing with this fellow.
but when i put this guy together i sort of gave him a unique hand apparatus,
which had him stand out from the others.
so i did the same paint technique to him like with the others,
but added a very light red wash and had him be a specter.

i figured since in the D&D Monster Manual the artwork of a ghost and a specter
are of a different color i would try to replicate that.

and lastly i painted this elf character.
he originally had a sword but i was not fond of it so i just clipped it off.
most likely he can be spellcaster of something down the road.
can always modify a new weapon on to him if need be.

more to come...
