looking for time....

here as of late I really have not done any painting or even gaming for several weeks now.
my work schedule drains me of any energy i have to do anything.
it does suck and when i do have any time like on my days off i relax and don't do much.

i have several projects lined up but i just don't have the inspiration or aspiration to get
any of it done and completed for the game table.

but when time comes around to play Dungeons and Dragons i find time and energy
to create some fun adventures and continue our epic story.


the party fights off a giant sewer alligator zombie,
only to be saved by the one person they were sent out to find.


gave the player characters some downtime before an adventure, and of course they get into
a barroom brawl with some necromancer cultists.

i am hoping when i go on vacation in a few weeks i will get some quality time in and get
several things done and also go to Historicon 2025 this year.
and maybe get in a game or two.
i will have nine days to get stuff done one way or another.

the projects i got going on is the wild west Perilous Tales, the MotU, the Silver Bayonet
pirates project and now the ongoing D&D stuff is lately we have been having regular
scheduled sessions.


rumble in the streets!

because of the direction of our D&D story i had to go and buy my first dragon.
but i screwed up and in story i am having the group fight a dracolich.
this shit is going to be crazy....

    Sorry to hear about work, but the D&D game looked fun, and I thought it was customary to have a brawl every time you enter a tavern ! LOL Hope you have a great vacation, and enjoy your downtime, and a con as well would be icing on the cake ( the really nice kind, that everybody want's more and scrapes it off with a spoon, we'll have no one using there finger here, we have standards ! ROFL)

another crazy night with the lady and her boys. after having a successful game of Fistful of Lead figured this time Galactic Heroes with a touch of Heroquest using my Wizard of the Coast Star Wars figures. great game with all the usual element of a Star Wars story. heroism, adventure and betrayal. i always love Heroquest and since i don't play with my Space Hulk game as much as I like to, i do put the tiles in good use. recently i have been using them for floor plans of an underground bunker or facility with my Star Wars figures. which in my opinion are the perfect size and such. i don't count the squares or use a measuring tool for movement. and for weapon ranges pretty much is in range because we are in compact spaces, the most a weapon's range would be depending how long and straight a corridor would be...anywhere from few inches to maybe 12inches.  the band of Republic agents has come across a fallen Jedi and some hired guns..  up to this point, ...

few weeks ago i saw on Miniature Market.com they had HATE on sale and this was a board game i was so interested in since its debut on Kickstarter. so i jumped at the chance and get the core box set and the three expansion tribes before they are gone.  and when i got my package i was so eager to open it. i waited for my girlfriend to come over after work to check it out also. and the quality of the product is a 9.5/10. no lie. so after a weeks or so getting the basic game play rules down, i asked my girl, Rita if she wanted to try it. in all honesty i was afraid she wouldn't like it. so i set up a layout of plateau tokens, instead of using the tribe miniatures from the two huge boxes of figures you get..(107 in total), i used the two expansion tribes instead. the Um'Tull and the Sarrassa. Blightlord Terminators WiP

so recently my loving girlfriend bought me the Dolorous Strain Kill Team box set. and at first i was kinda overwhelmed on how well these miniatures were sculpted. so much detail like the Death Guard space marines, my good friend said, "these aren't miniatures, these are models. if there is numbers on the sprue and directions these are not miniatures." and damn if he wasn't right. eight or nine pieces alone for the Blightlord Champion, back in the day Terminators had 3-4 pieces, even a character in Terminator Armor. but anyways, i went and put together the champion and primed him and went and did the same method of base coloring the miniature like i did with my Death Guard.  thinning down a green and brown paints with water, creating a wash. covering the model with a green and letting it dry and then going back over it with the brown. here are several pics of the finished Champion. after i completed the "model" i went back a...
