MotU: Fang Man

with a few spare parts left behind from the Frostgrave Snake Men plastic
box set i got last summer
i put together another character from the MotU,
Fang Man.


like normal with the exception of the sword and the wash i used on this miniature
was done in all Apple Barrel acrylic paints.

 how the Fang Man miniature came about was when the Kobra Khan miniature above
was announced i got in with my friends and order myself one.
 
now at the time i thought for some reason i would be getting
two miniatures and right away i thought one is Kobra Khan and then
the other one can be Fang Man.
 
then i received the miniature and saw there was only one miniature with two heads.
and my whole world shattered.


so after getting Kobra Khan painted i looked at the spare head and thought i'll take the spare parts from the Frostgrave Snake Men plastic and put one together and add the spare head.

    Great modelling. I've never thought about using craft paints on models, looks like they work

      much appreciated. i used craft paints on several projects.
      if you like check out the Death Guard kill team, Frostgrave Snake Men, and my Lizardmen from Reaper Miniatures, those i mainly did with craft paints.

 so begins a great adventure.... when i bought the CMON Masters of the Universe board game i knew what i was getting myself into. but over time i didn't realize what kind of pile of shame i would have. so i thought instead of being overwhelmed with what i should paint first, i thought i'll paint what the original toy-line was back in the '80's starting with wave 1. wave 1 consists of He-Man, Man-at-Arms, Teela, Stratos, Battle Cat, Skeletor, Mer-Man, Beast Man, and Zodac.  i painted them like the original cartoon or close enough to it. Heroic Warriors He-Man is the alter ego of Prince Adam and also the twin brother of She-Ra. the madness has begun..

 recently we started a new adventure with our D&D group and i really wanted to do something different as far as encounters with NPC's and monsters alike. i've been reading a lot of H.P. Lovecraft lately and i wanted to play out some of the stories that i read here as of late. the back story of the Necronomicon really intrigues me, so i went and found several arab miniatures from a box of plastic arab spearmen/archers and made my own "Mad" Abdul Alhazred. with the two sets of the temple from Tenfold Dungeons and the recently ordered Lovecraftian monsters from WotC, i am excited to see how everyone reacts to what i have in stored for everyone. and also with such figures on hand i can play some really interesting pulp games. within the ruins of whats left of a temple, Alhazred begins reading from tattered pages from an ancient tome. slowly losing his mind in the process. continuing redoing the bases of my miniature collection. i need more camels. the oozes i'm us

operation MotU: wave 2

  continuing with the Masters of the Universe figures from CMON with wave two. wave two consists of Man-E-Faces, Ram Man, Evil-Lyn, Faker, Trap Jaw, Tri-Klops, Panthor. for a change of pace i ended up painting a few hover robots since i have a decent amount of them and they were not part of the original toy-line. Heroic Warriors Man-E-Faces is a member of the Heroic Warriors, notable by his distinctive appearance, with his large, blue metal head on which his faces appear in its screen-like opening. His ability is to change his face from his regular human face to that of a robot and a monster. Ram Man is a member of the Heroic Warriors, characterized by his bulky, spring-legged appearance and flat-topped metal helmet. His special ability is to knock opponents or obstacles down with his super-hard helmet. Evil-Lyn attempts to cast a spell at Teela.
