the madness has begun..

recently we started a new adventure with our D&D group and i really wanted to do
something different as far as encounters with NPC's and monsters alike.
i've been reading a lot of H.P. Lovecraft lately and i wanted to play out some of the stories
that i read here as of late.

the back story of the Necronomicon really intrigues me,
so i went and found several arab miniatures from a box of plastic
arab spearmen/archers and made my own "Mad" Abdul Alhazred.

with the two sets of the temple from Tenfold Dungeons and the recently
ordered Lovecraftian monsters from WotC,
i am excited to see how everyone reacts to what i have in stored for everyone.
and also with such figures on hand i can play some really interesting pulp games.

within the ruins of whats left of a temple,
Alhazred begins reading from tattered pages from an ancient tome.
slowly losing his mind in the process.

continuing redoing the bases of my miniature collection.
i need more camels.

the oozes i'm using to represent as Lovecraftian and not the kind you would find
in the D&D monster manual.
just like the black puddings i made back in Feb of last year, these are made from
messing around with hot glue.

i redid the bases of the lions i painted which are just toys you get from a
jungle animals toy bucket for a few dollars at Wal-Mart.
these two are gonna be in a future Perilous Tales game post which is inspired by
the movie "the Ghost and the Darkness".
