late night game - FFoL: Tales of Horror
last night after spending time at the local hobby shop and
coming home with some new loot for my pulp collection
and also for an upcoming project.
on the way home Rita asked if we could do a little gaming and why not,
this is such a great way to spend vacation from work.
late night gaming with the one you love.
so we played a small skirmish with warbands using the FFoL: Tales of Horror rules.
i have to say first time using this book from the Fistful of Lead line,
it was quite fun.
in this necromancer group, to go along with my middle eastern theme,
the zombies in my group are mummies.
layout of the table.
a group has come across ruins in the desert where
a follower of an ancient power has reanimated the dead.
and started to become surrounded by hordes of rats and mummies.
ghouls preparing to ambush anyone they can sink their claws and teeth into.
after some great dice rolling and people dying,
the necromancer starts to chant and dark magic fills the air...
Rita was not happy..
but in the end she did take out my necromancer,
so after a small skirmish game that we thought would of been
maybe a hour turns into a almost 2hr game,
we learned more about the rules we mess up on or completely forget,
i leanr more on how to make a more effective Tales of Horror group, and had lots of fun doing so.
Looks great mate! Sounds like you both had fun!
ReplyDeletehell yeah man, love the fact Rita has a good grasp of the rules and makes the whole game play even better. there's no real explaining the rules after something is moved.
DeleteSuch a great setting. I really like all FFOL games. Can't wait to try out the Fantasy version.
ReplyDeletedoing a middle eastern setting is really out of my element, so its really cool for me to venture into all this. and been doing alot of ancient Egyptian reading for future pulp games, im also learning a lot by doing some research.
Deletehell yea man i REALLY cant wait for those rules. i am damn near seething for them. lol.
