mummies, cultists and rats..oh my! - Fistful of Lead

over the past weekend Rita and i were messing around with the newly
painted ancient mummy miniatures i did of the previous week.
we were using the Fistful of Lead and with a mix of rules
from Tales of Horror and little bit of Galactic Heroes.

i had several pieces of my dungeon tiles already out on the table,
and i made up a quick adventure for her to try to find some ancient treasures
inside the tomb of the lost pharaoh.

we opened our adventure with the exploring team entering the tomb,
looking for long lost treasures and artifacts.

Harrison Jones leads the team down into the tomb,
and encounters large rats.

having trouble killing the other rat,
the whole enters the tomb and corners the rat.

Hando and Jones checks into an adjacent area and
came across more rats and some unbroken clay jars and unusual skulls.

the professor and the renowned hunter, Lucian Van Pelt looks
into the opposite room and found members of the Order of the Chromatic Tomb.
they were able to take out one cultist.

Rita went to shoot with the professor  at the other cultist and drops a one.
and also drops her head in shame.

the cultist returns fire and doesn't wound him but gives him a little shock.
outta ammo and a little shaken,
not a good time in the mummy's tomb.

this was the highlight of the game.
the members of the Knights of the Crescent Moon tries to take out
the recently risen mummy and as the picture shows upon,
it did not turn out well for Rita. (the mummy rolled the black dice.)
so much disbelief was on display at this moment.
even being outnumbered the mummy came out on top.

the anointed one appears to greet the adventurers.
inviting them to come close and see wonders he is able to offer.

Jones and Lynn head into the main hall and is greeted with the anointed one.
Jones fires his pistol but misses.

with all the chaos that is taking place,
the professor runs away after failing his shaken test.

the Knights of the Crescent Moon enters a small area only to find a royal tomb with the long forgotten pharaoh and his queen.
the almighty anointed one uses his powers and pushes Hando and Jones across into the previous chamber and giving them a little bit of a scare.
Lynn stands her ground.

Harrison Jones runs in and tries to take down the powerful being,
but only fails in doing so.
rolling 2d12 with results of a seven and twelve,
the anointed one uses the twelve against the attacker's roll of a six.
and a result of a 13 on the wounding chart was the end of Jones.

we only spent little under two hours but this was tons of fun.
with all the crazy happenings and random mummy pop-ups,
we had a great time.
we did bend a few rules but the game did play out fairly smoothly.
