in search of the ogre mage...

the past weekend my D&D group started their adventure on the
dreaded downward path to the ogre mage who knows a
thing or two about the undead.

within the walls of an ancient building that has been standing ever since
the first foundation block was laid down in the city of Tal Kurruk,
the adventurers have to meet an ogre mage who has the power to help them
bring down a powerful necromancer...
but they need to survive what lurks in the halls of this mage.

here are some highlights...

after being harassed by something and even being attacked by
an animated bookshelf,
the group has found out that noble half-elf isn't all who he says he is.
at this point there was almost an execution.

cautiously approaching a trophy room of some sorts,
members of the party examine a suit of armor.
they expected they were alive with some kind of magic,
but they were just suits of armor.

at this moment the players were kind of skittish of what was animated
and what was not.
was funny watching them entering new rooms and areas.

entering a study,
the group checking out any clues or what-not.
then out of no where they were attacked by a death head and few flying swords.

by this time it has been a running joke that when you play in our group it's like
a rite of passage to die really quick from the start of your character,
at this point my girlfriend Rita's wood elf druid has died three times.
which is most of anyone in the group.
and i do feel bad but..
to a point.

the death head out doing the tiefling ranger and the elf druid.
