loot from Fall In! 2023

 going into Fall In! 2023 i didn't really have a planned list on what to buy
or had anything in mind that i really wanted or needed.

we hit up the flea market first and took a look around.
being it was early saturday morning it was crowded so we really didn't get
a chance to stop at every stand but we did manage to find some great items.


my flea market finds.
don't think i have ever been so happy and satisfied on the great things i found.


a Scarsfell Griffon warbeast from the game Hordes from Privateer Press.


this was a great find.
fully painted Reaper Miniatures "Lord of the Jungle."
normally marked at $25 but got this gem for only 10.


found these Cthulhu pieces.
couldn't resist buying them, plus i got them for a good deal.


more pieces that must be from a board game.
i went to buy two of them, but somehow i ended up with six.



few years back i had the fortunate pleasure of acquiring two
Magic: the Gathering pewter miniatures.
this time around i was able to find a Fire Elemental


and lastly i bought a Tenfold Dungeon Temple set from Gale Force 9.
i've been thinking about these for some time but i had my doubts.
but now since i have one and got it out of the box
i have to admit these are nice.
just need to start collecting more scatter terrain pieces for the inside.

operation MotU: wave 2

  continuing with the Masters of the Universe figures from CMON with wave two. wave two consists of Man-E-Faces, Ram Man, Evil-Lyn, Faker, Trap Jaw, Tri-Klops, Panthor. for a change of pace i ended up painting a few hover robots since i have a decent amount of them and they were not part of the original toy-line. Heroic Warriors Man-E-Faces is a member of the Heroic Warriors, notable by his distinctive appearance, with his large, blue metal head on which his faces appear in its screen-like opening. His ability is to change his face from his regular human face to that of a robot and a monster. Ram Man is a member of the Heroic Warriors, characterized by his bulky, spring-legged appearance and flat-topped metal helmet. Recovering Artifacts

 today is my girlfriend's birthday. and so i thought it would be nice to host a game to where she and her boys would team up and play as a recovering team that landed on a deserted ship to find artifacts. four teams of three would scour the ship for these items. each item recovered is worth victory points, but the main victory is to survive and escape the ship with the artifacts. i used a modified version of Fistful of Lead for a rule set. with all the excitement and having too much fun and didn't think of taking a lot of pics. but with what pics that were taken, they were taken by Rita, i think she does a better job at it than me. the recovering teams arrive on a elevator. i wanted to have these teams to find the artifacts but have some kind of a resistance. i used the game mechanic of blip markers from the Space Hulk game. i did this because of the shock factor it produces when revealed how many aliens are incoming and the faces of Rita's boys' faces is priceless. beginning of a boomtown

 been wanting to do a wild west table for a few years now and now i'm finally getting around to do it. i ordered several buildings on Amazon from Atomic Laser Cut Designs. i reckon over time i'll get more to create a small town that will cover at least 4x4 gaming space. i was excited to share my first building i completed this evening which is a saloon. hopefully by the end of the month i'll have the rest done and a battle report or two posted. a show down outside a saloon. easy assembly even without instructions. first set of buildings i had built. i didn't know what color or how to go about painting a wild west building. so i figured my first building should be at least an easy one. i watered down some Apple Barrel acrylic paint, added some black to the and did the doorway and window frames.   same thing for the billboard, watered down some green and black for the lettering.  " you cheated me, you son of a bitch! "
