d&d and gunfighters #PWYG

wanted to start the Paint What You Got painting challenge for a while now but weather
was not helping me at all and preventing me from going out to spray some miniatures.
i did happen to get a few western gunfighters done.
but then things started to unfold.

first of my wild west gunfighters that i set to do for the Paint What You Got challenge.
i have about 21 more to go before Feb. 28th.

out of all of them i made a dedicated sheriff with a painted gold star,
and i plan to do a few deputies with silver stars.

i painted up a set of figures for Rita and her parents.
i asked her what kind of weapons they should have and the color scheme of their clothes.
she was pleased with how they came out.
i still have a way to go but i'm not sure if i will make the original plan of getting my wild west
figures completed in the time of February 28th.
we managed to regroup our D&D group with Rita inviting some of her friends
and began playing a whole new campaign and new characters.
and with new characters comes new miniatures which i was excited to paint.

an aarakocra fighter but i clipped the spear it had to accommodate our new
group member Dale's monk subclass as a monk of the tradition, Way of the Open Hand,
so basically no weapons.

Rita went outside the box and gave the wizard a try and went with the
subclass of Bladesinging, which i find very interesting.

Dale's wife who also joined our group, Amber was totally new to D&D and had two
requests for her character, an elf and a spellcaster.
so we went with another wizard of Divination.

for me i did not want to be a dungeon master and also a playable character.
so i created sort of a NPC/PC character who would come and go within our story.
i also went a different route than i am used to and made a human warlock,
a follower of the Great Old One.
Excellent work on your wild west characters, and an interesting group for your D&D campaign, which you've brought to life with your models.
ReplyDeletethanks man.
Deleteeveryone picked whatever that wanted to play as. not realizing till game time that isn't really a healer or even a person to soak up damage. haha. it's gonna be interesting.
Those Gunfighters look great.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like a very interesting D&D party. Are they starting at first level?
thanks, yeah they are starting fresh at level one. so it's going to be funny and chaotic.
