finished up a barbarian miniature that was given to me. not sure which company he is from, one of my friends said maybe Cobblestone, but not sure though. but with this addition i was able to assemble my fantasy Avengers team..so say. Eiflord, a Barbarian Meabh, a Sorceress Raaf the Harbinger, a fallen Knight Baron Guillotin, a Knight Geoffroi Sinclair, a Crusader

the Sorceress of the Frozen City

Image
along with the Chaos Snake Men miniatures and others noticed there was a classic Bretonnian Sorceress miniature in the lot. and along with the other fantasy figures i received i was planning on using them for Frostgrave. for the past several months i had the opportunity to be in the company of a wonderful woman who for once in my life takes somewhat of an interest in my wargaming hobby. i asked my girlfriend how would she want this miniature to look like. she said she would like the dress a blue black blended together in the middle and she needs to have red hair. so not in particularly favor in painting humans, i tried my best and followed the request of the two colored dress. having the miniature now being the leader of a Frostgrave warband, i created a back story of this fierce woman. she not only looking for lost relics and treasure within the frozen city, she is also seeking revenge against the tyrant barbarian who killed her love, Ranulf Tor,...

old Citadel Chaos Snake Men

Image
recently received a handful of fantasy miniatures from a good friend and to my surprised, in the bunch were several very old Citadel figures. these miniatures were out before i even played Warhammer back in 1996. after doing some research, these miniatures came out in 1985. they were called Chaos Snakemen.  while i was looking these up on the net, was hoping to find a pic from an old Citadel catalog. to find a catalog pic like this was really cool, knowing these came out when i was five years old. matching the miniatures to the pic i was missing only one, the S'lon Life Smasher. but to be honest i don't mind. just having these is a real treat. i love old Citadel miniatures. to be honest the sculpts were a pain in the ass to figure out where armor ended and other pieces of clothing began. but overall i am pleased how these came out and hopefully i can have them on the table soon.

Lizardmen!

was given these lizardmen miniatures over the easter weekend and had to stripped them with Simple Green for least 32hrs., and base them and started to paint them afterwards. few days later they were battle ready and eager to conquer some land.   primed white, water downed Apple Barrel Cool Blue and then Cobalt Blue. every other 2-3 miniatures were given a watered down coat of a different shade of green. stripped and based, ready for paint.

Space Marine Terminator Chaplain for Space Hulk [ver.2.0]

Image
with the new edition of Space Hulk board game i plan on replacing the Blood Angel Terminators with Terminators from another chapter. not sure which chapter yet. reasons why, one the miniatures u get in the box set are so damn detail it actually hurts my eyes trying to find all the small detail work to paint and two, i just do not the Blood Angels.  i also will get a new Terminator Librarian, but i wanted to add a new character to the game which is a Terminator Chaplain. after finding a pdf of expansion campaigns that were released specifically for iPad i went through them and found no rules for Chaplains. so i wrote some home brew rules for them: Veteran of a Thousand Wars : add +2 to the dice roll for close assault in the same manner as a Space Marine Sergeant. the +2 is added in the close assault data profile below. Rosarius : a rosarius is a symbol of office for the Chaplains of the Space Marines alongside the crozius. a rosarius normally tak...
