into the ruins of the dead: a D&D story
our group of adventurers still making their way towards Ravencrest Manor.
coming up on the outskirts of the Manor,
is the ruins of an old monastery that became the final resting place for
soldiers and men of prayer for sometime.
until dark magicians and necromancers made their way into the area
and made use of their dark magic on the dead.
here are some of the highlight moments...
the band of adventurers enter the area cautiously.
Grungni knowing much of the past wars recognizes some of the emblems on the tombs.
Breena had some trouble climbing up the side of a rock.
"Crinkle Shorts" started plotting schemes for riches.
as "Crinkle Shorts" begins steal from the dead, Nafaris also looks around.
Grungni refuses to disrupt the dead but also takes notice few giant rats and some ghouls
surrounding the party.
Nafaris gets wounded from a ghoul and becomes paralyzed.
as the group takes care of the ghouls,
Nanna the Goliath barbarian gets jumped by a wererat that was hiding in the shadows,
and also a few more giant rats appear.
(not gonna lie, i was hoping someone would fail a dice roll so i can turn someone
into a wererat also on a full moon.)
appearing off to the side of the ruins,
Valkia and her overseer, Caelestrasz, a very powerful dragonborn mage.
after the evil mages retreated,
"Crinkle Shorts" was interested in a certain grave.
trying hard as hell to get a silky sash from a skeleton,
several armored skeleton come to life and
begin to advance slowly towards the heroes.
using a magical ring that was found in a tomb, Nafaris was talked into using it.
unbeknownst to her she has the very rare Ring of Three Wishes.
so she wished the fallen soldier come back to life.
after some confusion the fallen soldier directs the group to to the rallying point...
Ravencrest Manor.
to be continued......
A nice looking game, the ruins and other terrain really set the stage!
