Zolthur, the All Seeing
for the longest time now i've been wanting to do this project.
i was looking on reddit and other sites for cool homebrew D&D material,
and i came across this character.

Zolthur, the All Seeing.

wish i can give credit to who ever wrote the mini background story,
but just two paragraphs i fell in love with this beholder.
but just two paragraphs i fell in love with this beholder.

i used a Wizkids zombie beholder as a base for the model.
i used the artwork as a starting point.
clipping several eye stalks and leaving a few alone.

i painted the miniature first using few shades of reds.
i blackened out the eyes and tried to give them a glare.
once the paint was dry and everything was done,
i took a small piece of non-quitted paper towel and pretty much paper mâché
the dark cloak Zolthur would wear.
once the cloak was dry, i used a dark grey wash and applied layers on to it.
trying to make it look like it's worn out and tattered.

adventurers made their way into a dank and cold library filled with books,
scrolls and magic items.
Extremely cool! Really solid execution, I love the cloak!
ReplyDeletethanks man, much appreciated. that cloak was indeed a pain in the ass.
Deletebut i am extremely happy how he came out.
