D&D: one year later

this past year has seen it's fair share of ups and downs.
but nothing compares to the moment i opened for the first time a Dungeons and Dragons
player's handbook and began a journey that i didn't think it would last this long.
and it doesn't seem to be stopping anytime soon...

all started around this time last year when Wiley Games was releasing their
FFoL: Fantasy tabletop rule book.
and i was looking for a cheap way to collect a variety of different miniature for the new game.
i took to Wizkids and looked into their D&D miniature line.

i picked up several packs of different classes and races ranging from spell casters to fighters,
from human and elves to gnomes and of course dwarves.
after a while i was curious about D&D,
being i never played it..ever.

bought a starter set box and some dice,
chatted to some friends from work and sometime in april or may we had our first game.
we got many things incorrect but that's learning.

and now one year later,
i have three groups of players i have been dungeon-mastering for and it's been a fun ride.
the second group i DM'd for was for my girlfriend's kids.
they wanted to try and start playing which is the "C" group.
and the last and current group is the "A" group that i am running with the scenarios
and ideas that i wasn't able to get out onto the table the first time around.

also would like to thank my ever loving woman in my life, Rita
for coming along this adventure and sharing it with me.
with her enthusiasm, positive attitude, and support towards the hobby
makes me the happiest man in the world.
just knowing i can share my hobby with a wonderful woman is the damn nearest
thing to what a perfect life is all about.

the "A" group -
Pierce M., male human bard,
Usagi, female harengon rogue,
Valeriya, female half-orc fighter,
and Autolycus Firahel, male half-elf rogue.

the "B" group -
Breena Clodagh - elf druid,
Kresh - dragonborn fighter,
and Nafaris Cresthill - tiefling ranger.

the "C" group -
Feldspar Corundum - dwarf cleric,
Tupac - tabaxi ranger,
Stephan Albrecht - human rogue,
and Kara Therwyn - dragonborn wizard.

a little tribute to the fallen characters through out this past year..
Ambrosoa - half-elf dhampir ranger,
Crinkleshorts - gnome warlock
and Grungni Whitebeard - dwarven war cleric

  1. Wow, that's a lot of DnD in just one year. Welcome.
And to think I started in college back in 76.
