dragonborns and a knight
took a little time from blogging because i really didn't have anything new
to show or anything really happening besides playing Dungeons and Dragons.
the group i have been running is just about to finish their first campaign of adventures
and i pretty much spent the last month mapping out the finale of it all.
i did manage a nice statue of a knight of sorts
a few weeks back.
taking a metal Grail Knight miniature from the classic GW Warhammer
Bretonnian miniature line.
painting it black base coat and then a drybrush heavy with an antique gold.
making sure i had a shield that matches the grail knight's helm
and the horse's headpiece was kinda nerve wracking.
i didn't think to check to make sure i had all three before i started to
put it all together.

with our D&D group's first campaign coming to an end,
i gave the option to the players to create another character.
Lindsey asked if she could make a druid,
so she went with a dragonborn druid.
when i went to paint it, i asked about which draconic ancestry she would like,
and she went with gold dragon ancestry.
two dragonborns facing down a small horde of skeletons
within the ruins of a castle.
Jon playing a half elf rogue went along with a dragonborn also,
but this time a paladin.
i painted his dragonborn as of bronze dragon ancestry
in game i gave him a magical shield so to reflect this i gave his shield some color
to make it look special.

the dragonborn paladin knows no fear!
Lovely stuff. Those heroes should be great to play.
ReplyDeletethey will have predominant roles in our next campaign late summer/fall. I'm excited to see them in action.
