into the Wild West
back in December 2023 i was gifted with a set of miniatures from
the Zombicide: Undead or Alive board game.
which is a wild west theme this time around.
these figures are really sculpted well and made of good plastic.
i will mainly use these for Fistful of Lead: Wild West game,
which means some i will have to clip and convert.
these are the first miniatures i've done and not used the Citadel Nuln Oil Gloss
since pretty much Games Workshop discontinued it.
but i wanted to try something else.
i want to have them look like the gritty and dirty as they were back then in the 1800's.
i'll spray them with a varnish to protect the paint so maybe
they'll get a gloss somewhat.
most likely i'll keep the names of the characters from the Zombicide game for any
future Fistful of Lead game battle reports.
awhile back and some aliens i want to do in the future.
i'm dreaming of Cowboys vs. Aliens!!
armed townsfolk, Carl and Jeb
dangerous gunslinger from the south, Pablito
some locals Turner and Jimmy
Turner and Jimmy have Pablito cornered,
waiting for the sheriff to arrive.
Those paint-jobs are first-class, and really help bring the figures to life. I didn't get into the Wild West Zombicide, but I might now keep my eye out for a starter set at the shows I plan to visit post Summer. Great work and a nice write-up.
ReplyDeletethank you, i found this new painting technique called slapchop.
Deletei might do a post about it. its really neat i think but in a way i'm not doing it properly.
i've been on ebay looking at character pieces i currently don't have, maybe you can find some good deals there.
Really nicely done on these!
