Orctober 2023...sort of

well this month was full of inspiration but lacked motivation.
in between working, feeling ill and everyday life
i really wanted to paint up several orcs for this year's Orctober.

but i did manage to paint up an orc warlord mounted on a dire wolf.
i imagined this fellow will be my leader for the warband of orcs i have
and hoping to incorporate someway into my D&D campaign next year.
just need to buckle down and get them painted.

had this figure for several months before i decided to paint him.
just didn't have a use for him at the time.

painted him with a pale gray color instead of the usual green,
i did have an idea having Lindsey's half-orc female fighter have some kind of ties
to this orc clan i want to create, since her fighter character is also
gray skin color.

Rita and i were talking about new characters for D&D and
i remember the Games Workshop sorceress figure i painted for her few years ago.
so i redid the base so it would fit in with the rest of the D&D figures.

so in our current D&D campaign, my tortle monk sort of sacrifice himself,
was told i can create a new character if i want to.
i am going to give a barbarian a go and i figured i want to pick a minotaur.

instead of buying another figure i also redid the base of an old Ral Partha
minotaur miniature i have.

the enchantress Meabh and her companion and protector,
Roshakuna, the barbaric minotaur, find themselves in danger!

  1. Excellent orc warlord. He looks great in grey, green orcs are strictly Games Workshop. the character minis are nice too. Are you using the minotaur rules in the Theros book?

    1. thanks.
was gonna with the Ravnica background since I'm a fan of the Gruul guild. the character race rules from either book are basically the same.
