a little D&D fun

last month our D&D group played for the first time since november of last year.
and since then we had few members leave but regain new members in a short
amount of time thereafter.

with new members we decided to create new characters and a brand new story and
along with that a new campaign.
i kept the basic background settings and some of our favorite npc's but created a new
storyline for our new group members.

here are just a few pics from our first few sessions we had already had.

the adventure party begins their journey going to a crypt of a long dead general
of a forgotten war.

Mah'cho, the aarakocra monk, investigates what seems to be a collection of books and scrolls,
almost like a library.

the ghost of the dead general attacks the party, while admiring the statue of him in
the underground crypt.

the ghost possessed the curious monk while being attacked by the others.

a warlock that the party has comes across gives a hand in their search for an item
of interest.

they left the crypt to find an old ratchet house that appeared in the middle of the graveyard.

entering the ragged old house, the adventurers make a surprising discovery,
somewhat suitable furniture and artifacts laid out all over.

a curious rogue investigates what appears alien in nature, a fairly large skull.

the adventuring party meets the creature who dwells within the walls of this building,
a troll hag!

i know there isn't a thing like a troll hag in D&D but originally i was going to use a night hag
for the encounter but i saw that figure in my collection and forgot all about it so i just
made up a quick stat block for the creature.

overall with a new group and new story campaign,
we are all having a blast and i cannot wait to see what chaos is created as time
goes on.

    1. so far it's been fun as hell. i use Tenfold Dungeon sets from Gale Force Nine.
they are really nice. i have six sets total and i am looking at more since they released new ones recently.

  2. That all looks great fun.
It's nice that you've kept the same background, I'm sure it will develop a rich and intricate history (which most of the players will ignore).

    1. for the most part we kept basically the same backstories and settings, we did retcon a few things but overall kept the main background the same. and the things we retcon really won't have much of an impact on future stories.
