Historicon 2025

i began my vacation last weekend and to end it i spent this weekend with
a pretty woman at an awesome gaming convention.
the annual HMGS Historicon convention was in town and i basically scheduled
my vacation around this event.
made sure my bills were paid and everything in line because i had a feeling i was going
to spend a little green on some cool things.

i never register to play any games because i just want to take in the atmosphere.
and half the time i take an interest in a game and i am offered a spot at the table.

we didn't take as many pics as we did last year,
we were just having too much fun taking it all in.
and this time i told Rita to be in charge of the camera.
i might not be able to give a caption to some of the pics because i most likely wasn't
with her when she took them.

main lobby set-ups.

we met many friendly people running the games and funny as hell salesmen in the
dealer's room.
i almost walked away buying a life-sized boltgun from Warhammer 40k.

a Silver Bayonet game taking place in the far east.
the game was called the Tomb of the Dragon King, and set along the
Manchurian-Korean border.

my one gaming buddy Danner was running a Battle at Helm's Deep.
pictures do not give this table justice.
it was amazingly done and beautiful in person.
the miniatures of Saruman's army were half metal, 3-d printed and well painted.
we got to the table as he was cleaning up, kind of bummed we were late.

i never catch the name of this game but i took pics of it back in 2023.
this game took up several banquet tables.
the armies that players would use are being set up on lunch trays and cookie sheets,
i didn't realize that until Rita pointed it out to me.
if this game is at the next convention i will have to get more info on it,
it is amazing to look at.

Rita saw this when we were walking past the banquet hall where some really nice
tables were being played at.
the reason why i love these conventions is the beautiful tables and set ups these
GM's produce.
