now with the Heroic Warriors done from Quest Miniatures,
i've started working on the miniatures from Boris Woloszyn.
beautifully sculpted and well produced,

this batch of figures i have,
Zodac, Sy-Klone, Mekaneck, Jitsu, and Faker.

 these past few days i've got Mekaneck, Jitsu, and Faker
completed. ready for battle.

 Jitsu, an Eternian martial artist with a powerful, enlarged golden right hand
which he uses to perform strong karate chops.

Mekaneck, the heroic human periscope
 
 Faker, a magical creation rather than a robot,
or as an exact physical replica of He-Man intended
to fool the people of Eternia?

the madness has begun..

 recently we started a new adventure with our D&D group and i really wanted to do something different as far as encounters with NPC's and monsters alike. i've been reading a lot of H.P. Lovecraft lately and i wanted to play out some of the stories that i read here as of late. the back story of the Necronomicon really intrigues me, so i went and found several arab miniatures from a box of plastic arab spearmen/archers and made my own "Mad" Abdul Alhazred. with the two sets of the temple from Tenfold Dungeons and the recently ordered Lovecraftian monsters from WotC, i am excited to see how everyone reacts to what i have in stored for everyone. and also with such figures on hand i can play some really interesting pulp games. within the ruins of whats left of a temple, Alhazred begins reading from tattered pages from an ancient tome. slowly losing his mind in the process. continuing redoing the bases of my miniature collection. i need more camels. the oozes i'm us

operation MotU: wave 1

 so begins a great adventure.... when i bought the CMON Masters of the Universe board game i knew what i was getting myself into. but over time i didn't realize what kind of pile of shame i would have. so i thought instead of being overwhelmed with what i should paint first, i thought i'll paint what the original toy-line was back in the '80's starting with wave 1. wave 1 consists of He-Man, Man-at-Arms, Teela, Stratos, Battle Cat, Skeletor, Mer-Man, Beast Man, and Zodac.  i painted them like the original cartoon or close enough to it. Heroic Warriors He-Man is the alter ego of Prince Adam and also the twin brother of She-Ra. He-Man and his friends defend Eternia, the secrets of Castle Grayskull, and the entire universe from the evil forces of his archenemy Skeletor. Man-At-Arms is the primary title of Duncan. four foot of raging fury!!

my girlfriend Rita told me the other week that her youngest son joined a D&D school club and we needed to write up a character sheet. we sat and picked a race/class and her youngest Sam picked of all things, gnome barbarian named Hamish. we rolled for stats and filled out all the slots and information for him to play his first legit D&D game. so a week later we were told the person who's running the D&D club is starting the characters at level 3, why i have no idea, you figured new players would start at level 1? so we "leveled up" Sam's character and we played out a small session to get Sam familiar with the basic rules.
