beginners intro of Perilous Tales part II

before i clean up the game table for the weekend,
i wanted to get another round of Perilous Tales.
after watching more videos of gameplay and reading the rules
i'm getting the hang of it.

this time around i am playing the demon butcher and company,
instead of the mummy lord and his cohort.

still using the same unit as last time, the Hell Hounds.

layout of the table

i didn't change much except for the layout of the scatter pieces of
the ruins and the palm trees,
figured since i am only learning this game i don't have to have an
amazing set up on the table.

Darnell advances within range of a threat marker,
which was a swarm of rats.

Sgt. Rock and Darnell takes on the swarm of rats,
while Thomas "Tag-a-Long" triggers a sandstorm effect that renders
all visibility to 6 inches.

"Four Eyes" comes across another threat marker and sets off a quicksand effect.
which a hero within 6 inches must make a skill check or is knocked down.
another threat marker lurks near within the ruins.

Thomas "Tag-a-Long" becomes engaged with an imp,
while "Four Eyes" becomes knocked down after failing his skill check.

another swarm of rats attacks Thomas "Tag-a-Long", after the imp was killed
from behind a collapsed ruin the demon butcher is revealed.

(such a great excuse to use my classic GW Bloodthirster miniature)

the demon butcher attacks but misses completely.

Sgt. Rock shouts out loud encouraging words,
which helped the men wound the demon immensely.

with "Four Eyes" killed,
everyone failed their horror checks.
the two in melee were knocked down and Sgt. Rock fled for some cover.

swalloed his fear, Sgt. Rock turned around and opened fire,
taking down what the locals called "the raging Red Angel of the Sands".
