"did ya hear that, lad?" - Perilous Tales

gave another go with Perilous Tales but this time instead of
having a pulp tale i went with a fantasy genre story,
just to see how this would play out.

layout of the table.

the dwarven warband.
(left to right)
Ragnar Redmane (teammate, trait: Brute)
Ulric Falstad (teammate, trait: Medic)
Grungni Whitebeard (leader, trait: Tough and Relentless)
Snorri Ironheart (teammate, trait: Handy)
Feldspar Corundum (teammate, trait: Eagle Eyed)

the objectives for the game.

the dwarven warband enters the ruins.

Redmane triggers a threat marker,
a spirit is revealed.

with one spirit disposed of another does appear.

the warband fans out within the ruins,
Whitebeard sets off a threat marker which reveals the main threat, the Ghast!

a peril card is revealed and deals damage to Redmane.

as Feldspar goes around a broken wall to look for equipment,
a peril is activated which deals a fatal blow to the dwarf, killing him.
luckily the rest of the group didn't have to take any fear tests because
lack of line of sights.

a group effort of an exorcism was enough to take down the Ghast.
but more spirits are summoned.
Falstad able to locate another piece of equipment.

as time went one, unrevealed threat counters make their way closer to
the dwarven survivors.
only to deal more damage to those near by.

Whitebeard able to find the third piece of equipment,
started to make his way to safety....

with a horrible threat check roll,
more spirits appear and Disaster Strike peril dealt enough damage to take out Ironheart.
ending the last turn of the game.

medieval carnage.

i have to say this was fun using a fantasy genre setting but challenging to
get the objectives completed.

with what i was able to get done i scored 8/10pts. which is the best i have done since
i started playing this game.
