some outlaws and a loving tribute

past few days while on vacation i finished up several more miniatures for my
wild west collection and got my first set of buildings done also.
hopefully next month i can get several more.

Wolfe, "old man" Rusty, and Jesse.

Clint, Deputy Virgil, and Connie.

so i wanted to do something special for Rita and paint up a couple to represent her parents.
for her father i took a rugged male figure i had and armed with a rifle with a
overcoat draped over his shoulders like Doc Holliday.

for her mother i used a female figure that was proper and elegant and not armed with much
weapons despite these miniatures did come from a zombie killing game.
i asked Rita what colors she would want her mother's dress and she requested a yellow,
being that was her favorite color.
i painted the scarf that was wrapped around the female's body a navy blue,
to represent the Rita's love for her mom.

i never got to meet her mother because she past away in 2006 from cancer,
but i hear she was a great woman.
i tend to regret the fact that Rita will never get to meet my mother since
i only met Rita four years too late.

with the miniature for Rita,
i kept the same idea as i did for her mother's, proper and elegant and
not armed with much.
i used the same color of navy blue for her dress because it was the closes to
a prussian blue i had and of all colors that is her favorite.

Tony and Colleen Dennis.

Rita Lynn,
the most loving and beautiful woman i ever met and got able to throw dice with.

J. Woods and Mr. Raines.

more to come...

  1. Those are nicely done, and a very lovely tribute.
I've never tried to paint a mini representing a person, but you've inspired me to have a go.
