was on vacation last week and got to a point where i got a bit bored. in the middle of that boredom i was watching a few episodes of DMScotty on Youtube and started to have the creative juices flowing once again. saw a video on how to make your very own gelatinous cube and thought well i got some time on my hands maybe i'll give it a go and try to make one. group of heroic adventurers finds a gelatinous cube in a sunken temple. using the instructions in DMScotty's video i mae my a little bit bigger because i used a common land  card from my Magic: the Gathering collection, in case for some reason the card got damaged. the cude is about 2inch x 2inch and roughly 3 or so inches higher, easily able to cover enough space to trap (depending on miniatures) two to three, maybe four depending on how the miniatures are sculpted.   awhile ago i was given some extra miniatures from the Mythic Games Solomon Kane: Against the Vampire box set. i took the giant snake from it and gave it a qu...

 with the newly purchased dungeon box set from Gale Force 9, i invited few of the D&D group over for a small impromptu session using the set. not going lie, this set is really nice. already planning on buying another set to create an even bigger temple, and even getting the dungeon and castle sets as well. Breena and company enter the temple and find along the sides small statues of something they have never seen before. these are nice to where if you do not want to reveal certain rooms you can just have the room upside down and ready to be placed when the time comes.  going into Fall In! 2023 i didn't really have a planned list on what to buy or had anything in mind that i really wanted or needed. we hit up the flea market first and took a look around. being it was early saturday morning it was crowded so we really didn't get a chance to stop at every stand but we did manage to find some great items. my flea market finds. don't think i have ever been so happy and satisfied on the great things i found. a Scarsfell Griffon warbeast from the game Hordes from Privateer Press. this was a great find. fully painted Reaper Miniatures "Lord of the Jungle." normally marked at $25 but got this gem for only 10. found these Cthulhu pieces. couldn't resist buying them, plus i got them for a good deal. more pieces that must be from a board game. i went to buy two of them, but somehow i ended up with six. few years back i had the fortunate pleasure of acquiring two Magic: the Gathering pewter miniatures. this time around i was able to fin...

 it's been several years since i have been able to get out to a convention let alone a HMGS convention. when the time came i was super excited i was able to take Rita along with, to her first gaming convention. first since we were near it, we headed into the flea market area and checked out all the nice deals other gamers were selling. after only being there for less than 20mins i already spent $60 on several miniatures for scatter pieces and creatures for fantasy/pulp. after that we began walking around checking out the tables and set-ups, i told Rita she had full range of taking pics for my blogs to post. so basically she was excited for the gaming experience and taking pics. here are some of the great games and tables we saw. a Tora, Tora, Tora! game. there was this game that i guess was a parody of the Wizard of Oz(z).
