continuing painting for my friend,
i was able to finish a terrorbird few days ago.
 

i picked up some of these for myself.
these are some awesome miniatures.

 was asked to try to get it close as i can to this pic.
gotta love the fact that the every day pet parrot was bigger than a horse killing horses.

operation MotU: wave 1

 so begins a great adventure.... when i bought the CMON Masters of the Universe board game i knew what i was getting myself into. but over time i didn't realize what kind of pile of shame i would have. so i thought instead of being overwhelmed with what i should paint first, i thought i'll paint what the original toy-line was back in the '80's starting with wave 1. wave 1 consists of He-Man, Man-at-Arms, Teela, Stratos, Battle Cat, Skeletor, Mer-Man, Beast Man, and Zodac.  i painted them like the original cartoon or close enough to it. Heroic Warriors He-Man is the alter ego of Prince Adam and also the twin brother of She-Ra. He-Man and his friends defend Eternia, the secrets of Castle Grayskull, and the entire universe from the evil forces of his archenemy Skeletor. Man-At-Arms is the primary title of Duncan. pulp heroes and villians

 here are some pics of several miniatures i have been working on these past few weeks. a mixture of rugged heroes and sinister men of the Ahnenerbe. i bought several packs of the Gestapo from PulpFigures.com and wanted to do something different with them instead of making them like normal Nazis officers and soldiers. so i thought since i'm gonna play a lot of sci-fi material i'll play them as a secret agency of paranormal research within the Ahnenerbe. and then along those i acquired several unusual miniatures that would fit perfectly in either my Nazis soldier set or my pulp heroes i had going on. when painting the Nazis miniatures i did the red armband but haven't gotten to the white spot and swastika symbol yet. some of the members of the Parable Custodians are about to ambush a few of the Nacht Jagers. beginning of a boomtown

 been wanting to do a wild west table for a few years now and now i'm finally getting around to do it. i ordered several buildings on Amazon from Atomic Laser Cut Designs. i reckon over time i'll get more to create a small town that will cover at least 4x4 gaming space. i was excited to share my first building i completed this evening which is a saloon. hopefully by the end of the month i'll have the rest done and a battle report or two posted. a show down outside a saloon. easy assembly even without instructions. first set of buildings i had built. i didn't know what color or how to go about painting a wild west building. so i figured my first building should be at least an easy one. i watered down some Apple Barrel acrylic paint, added some black to the and did the doorway and window frames.   same thing for the billboard, watered down some green and black for the lettering.  " you cheated me, you son of a bitch! "
